I suspect Mr. Ong is on a Medicare Advantage plan, so it’s understandable that the doctor wouldn’t want to deal with him.
When your surgery prep instructions say “Nothing By Mouth” after X Hour in the morning, they mean exactly that.
I nearly had a surgery cancelled because a Nurse saw me removed a box of Tic Tacs from my pants pocket.
