The casual way Democrats threaten to throw Republicans in prison or prosecute them for supporting President Trump is alarming and indicative of exactly what they will try to do if they win power on Nov. 3.
On “The Bulwark Daily” podcast Monday, Kara Swisher blithely speculated that if Kamala Harris had won the presidency in 2024, Elon Musk might already be in jail and that he “knows what’s coming for him” if Democrats win control of Congress in the midterm elections — though they would not hold that power until the next Congress is seated in January.
“If Donald Trump loses the House and the Senate, I would worry. I’d be worried if I were him,” Ms. Swisher said. “So they’re going to start investigating again. You think he’s not on the list? He’s at the top of that list.”
Sen. Elissa Slotkin, Michigan Democrat, tried to scare young Republicans from entering public service at an Oct. 13 event at the University of Chicago, saying Democrats would focus on the aides who enabled Mr. Trump’s alleged corruption.
“I want young people coming out of school to say, ’Should I go work for the Trump administration? Like, that sounds like fun. I might get an opportunity.’ I want them to be like, ’Lord, that might be buying myself a ton of problems that I don’t want, and so let me avoid participating in that.’ I want that deterrence message sent,” Ms. Slotkin said.
After the clip surfaced this week, Ms. Slotkin doubled down, defending her comments as “manufactured outrage” from conservatives who want to deflect from tight midterm races in places such as Michigan and Kansas. It is very true that evil people will tell you exactly what they plan to do - there is never any surprise nor thinking that they scum will eat me last. Hitler made no subterfuge as to his plans for the Jews; Lenin was a murderous and open hater from his youth in a rich family at Ulyanovsk, named after his family; Mao could have cared less about the fate of 100 million; Castro murdered with impunity and was toasted by half of Hollywood. We need to listen to what the Senator Slotkins of this world have planned for us, and don’t think they will stop at the top. There is a reason why nasty little man prosecutor Jack Smith got a list of 600,000 Trump contributors and supporters and you and I are probably on it. Don’t believe the best of your enemies; they mean what they say.
Republicans, on the other hand, never say democrats are going to go to prison.
The senate and house have no Army. Trump will veto anything they send over and they don’t have the votes to override the veto. And the house clowns are up for election in two years- how does threatening administration officials lower the price of gasoline or hamburgers?
Anybody that chanted “lock her up” during the 2016 campaign has no right complaining about this.

Of whatever crime they make up on days that end in “y.” The judges should have been dealt with. They will end the Republic.

We have plenty of examples of this during Trump’s first term and during Biden’s term.
To whom: Trump, Roger Stone, D’Souza, Bannon, Micheal Flynn, Navarro, just to name a few. 95% of the media will push their cases and spread the democratic propaganda for these alleged crimes.

There is lots of talk about accountability but in the end its all just a bunch of rhetoric. And so there are no disincentives to push the Left to start playing by any rules. As a result they keep getting evermore lawless and violent.

Do we (conservatives/MAGA) really control the DOJ? Although some key people have been replaced, the origination is rotten with anti-MEGA employees. Trump in this term, and especially in the first term, has done a poor job of cleaning out this and other deep-state supporting government organizations.

Hillary was an awful candidate; if she committed actual crimes, why did President Trump not follow through with "lock her up"?
