Is it time for another worldwide civilizational collapse?
American Thinker ^ | 21 Oct. 2026 | Robert Arvay

It has happened before in history. Those who think it can’t happen again are out of their minds.

In 1200 B.C., worldwide civilization fell into ruin. That is only partially an overstatement. The Americas and Asia were on a separate path, but the Mediterranean complex of civilizations, the “known world,” was all but destroyed. It was laying the foundation of Western Civilization, which is the modern worldwide standard for science, technology, human rights, and self-government — and critically, an enduring monotheistic society.

The Bronze Age collapse took about a century, but that is sudden in terms of history. Before 1300 B.C. there was a network of prosperous, stable kingdoms. Then, shortly thereafter, everything went wrong at once. Volcanoes and invasions were the headline causes, but numerous other factors came into play. The result was the destruction of mighty empires. Thriving cities fell into ruin. Trade routes were cut. Barbarians massacred entire populations.

Recovery took centuries, but here we are, enjoying yet another golden age of worldwide prosperity. Yes, there are dark spots and open sores in the picture, but day to day, most people awaken to indoor plumbing and controlled temperatures. They enjoy breakfast, and they thrive within family, career, and comfort.

It could all come crashing down in a lifetime or less.

In the 1980s, cultural revolutionaries chanted, “Hey, hey, ho, ho, Western civ has got to go.” If no one took them seriously at the time, we do now, because they are getting their wish.

Witness Europe. The aforementioned modern worldwide standard for science, etc. is being eroded. Invaders who once were repelled at the walls have now been invited in through the gates, and given food, shelter, medical care, and freedom. In return, they plunder, rape, and murder their benefactors. The revolution continues.

People are warning the leftists, but the leftists seem to want the collapse.

It’s never time for it, but muzlems and radical leftists both want to destroy it. The riots are for that purpose - to destabilize the civil order and give the left an opportunity to seize power.

We’ll need a global event, like a giant volcanic eruption, to bring that about.

Otherwise, individual countries and empires rise and fall all the time, and the world carries on, and other nations replace them.

For example, Europe is merely in the middle of its civilizational and power decline - from global supremacy of the 19th century, to God-knows-what in 2100.

A civilization is successful only if it is able hold in check the hedonism, perversion and decadence that human beings tend to embrace when they have sustenance and shelter. When a society is rife with such values, it loses cohesiveness and declines quickly.

As our Founders understood, evils will be suffered while they are sufferable, but eventually, they become neither tolerable nor tolerated. What happens when the evils are so deeply embedded that removing them is not merely painful, but destructive of the institutions of power?

In our US history we have had enough good to overcome the bad.

That is the test we are in. Is there enough good to overcome the bad. Trump has opened the door but it will take a generation to change things.

There is work for ALL of us to do.

We are being tested.

With that said, WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF A TEST?

Eurabia, if trends hold. And apart from relics of better times, that aren’t kept up, the cities will look very much like any Middle Eastern craphole.

We DO NOT want a collapse like the Bronze Age collapse.
It took out nearly all of the Med for 1000 years.
The Sea People came in and destroyed entire civilizations and then vanished.

AI Overview
Why these policies is explained. Read the UN Study. It’s explained below:

Replacement migration is a demographic concept referring to the international migration a country would need to offset population decline, shrinkages in the working-age population, and overall population aging caused by low fertility and mortality rates.

Origin of the Term

• The UN Report: The term was prominently featured in a 2000 study by the United Nations Population Division titled Replacement Migration: Is It a Solution to Declining and Ageing Populations?.
• Analytical Purpose: The report was a statistical analysis rather than a formal policy recommendation. It calculated the volume of migration required under various scenarios to keep total population sizes or worker-to-retiree ratios steady in regions like Europe, Japan, and the United States.

Key Findings and Scenarios

• Low Fertility: Many developed nations have fertility rates below the replacement level of 2.1 children per woman.
• Scale Needed: According to the UN projections, preventing overall population decline requires moderate migration levels, whereas stopping population aging (maintaining a steady ratio of workers to elderly citizens) requires vastly higher and often unsustainable numbers of immigrants.

Criticisms and Debates

• Demographic Reality: Critics and demographers note that immigrants also age, meaning migration alone cannot permanently halt a society’s long-term aging process without compounding continuous population growth.
• Alternative Policies: Discussion on Reddit and other public forums reflects mixed opinions on whether immigration is necessary, with some arguing that automation, higher labor force participation, raised retirement ages, or tax and spending adjustments offer alternative ways to handle demographic shifts.
• Political Misinterpretations: The concept has frequently been mischaracterized in public discourse and social media as a deliberate political plot rather than a demographic calculation

“ to destabilize the civil order and give the left an opportunity to seize power”

It also gives the right an opportunity to warm up the helicopters. This contest is going to be won by whoever wants power more.

Like the Foundation series, we must preserve humanity’s knowledge, institutions, and cultural heritage in the 21st century to ensure civilization can recover and flourish, even amid the potential decline or collapse of the West.

Here’s what I believe the Bible prophesies:

1. Jesus comes in the clouds to retreive his church. We know it is soon but we don’t know the day ot the hour.
2. This occurance, AKA “the rapture” (1 Th. 4:17), triggers Daniel’s 70th week, AKA the seven-year wrath of God upon the earth (Rev. Chapters 6-19).
3. After seven years, Jesus returns to the earth to reign as king for 1000 years with his saints (Rev. 20:4).
4. Afterwards, Satan is loosed there is a brief rebellion, and God’s fire devours the rebellion and Satan is cast into the lake of fire (Rev. 20:8-10).
5. Next, a great white throne of judgment appears from which heaven and earth are done away (Rev. 20:11).
6. After the fearful judgment of those outside of Christ, a new heaven and earth appear (Rev. 21:1).
7. The saints live and reign with God and the Lamb forever in the new Jerusalem (Rev. 21:3, 22:5).

Once AI completes making every financial or social institution insecure and creates a world where we cannot determine what is real or fake, a total collapse of civilization should not be a surprise. It will be that or a totalitarian world where you own nothing and are kept as a pet. This creating our own god thing is difficult.

We have to hold on to everything lightly. Jesus said:

“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal.” Matthew 6:19-20 (ESV)
