North Korea has released a fresh batch of apparent “proof of life” photos showing Kim Jong Un inspecting shoes and women’s clothing — after wild rumors swept social media claiming the dictator had died from a brain hemorrhage.
The images, published by North Korean state media on Monday, show a seemingly animated Kim examining children’s footwear, gesturing toward officials and inspecting women’s coats at a garment and footwear exhibition.
The photos surfaced just hours after sensational claims circulated online that the 42-year-old leader had suffered a massive brain hemorrhage, fallen into a coma and died after being rushed to Beijing for emergency treatment.

Saw a picture of Kim Jong Un laughing with Mitch as they hear a walk into the bar joke told by Talarico. But the TV news behind them showed “Trump Says Iran War Will End In Two Weeks.” Shows it was from May, 2026.

The Kim Jong Un coma and death rumors originated from unverified social media posts by Wanjun Xie, chairman of the U.S.-based China Democracy Party. Xie claimed on X (formerly Twitter) that Kim suffered a severe brain hemorrhage, slipped into a coma, was transferred to a hospital in Beijing, and died.
Xie alleged that Kim Jong Un suffered a cerebral hemorrhage, fell into a coma, was secretly moved to Peking Union Medical College Hospital in Beijing, and later died.
The unverified claims were quickly amplified by tabloids and international news outlets before any official confirmation or independent verification surfaced.
Neither North Korean nor Chinese authorities confirmed the reports, and no independent medical evidence supported Xie’s assertions.
That pose can be done by a dead person, if you can find their center of balance.
Cue the mass executions of all North Korean citizens who unabashedly celebrated what would have been his less than untimely death.
