I didn't know I was voting for this, but it is in fact what I voted for.
Florida's top prosecutor announced an arrest warrant Monday for former Cuban president Raul Castro under state murder charges that echo a federal indictment unveiled earlier this year.
Raul Castro, 95, is wanted on murder charges connected to the February 24, 1996, shooting down of two civilian aircraft from 'Brothers to the Rescue,' an organization assisting Cubans fleeing to Florida by sea.
'Raul Castro ordered the murder of four Floridians in cold blood, and Florida will never stop pursuing accountability for that communist conspiracy,' Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier said in a statement.
We told you back in May that Raul Castro, the brother of and successor to brutal commie dictator Fidel Castro, was indicted by the DOJ for killing Florida citizens in 1996, and now the AG in Florida has approved the totalitarian's arrest warrant.

I’m all for cleaning the communists out of central and south America, but will this actually accomplish anything? This guy is ancient with 1 foot in the grave and the other on a banana peel, and (IIRC), not in charge anymore.

Given that the elections are near, this is most likely a political move; a way to remind Floridians that the GOP is anti-communist.
Maybe not a bad move, actually.
He can be arrested for his crimes... he's still in the game.
I consider him to be a low-priority target with the potential to become a martyr if we rub him out.

Why not go after Castro for training and supporting thousands of terrorists over the years?
My "what will this accomplish?" question has nothing to do with age, but with the fact that Cuba won't extradite him to Florida. Remember that Osama bin Laden was indicted in 1998 for 1993 Mogadishu --- to no effect.
But it's probably good politics to remind everyone that the Dims are siding with evil communists.
