Wow! No wonder lefties hate Musk. They hate any hint of entrepreneurial activity that might take away from gubmint free stuff.

I do applaud such giving, it also appears to me as a bit like a need to be popular.

Plenty of adults including grifters from India, Nigeria and even university students from America have held out their hands on X too.
Never realized people loved free stuff so much.
Its only one share.

“in addition to the DOGE dividend”
Yes. Elon truly walks the walk

Kids can’t own shares. But what is interesting is that these will be owned by the parents for the benefit of the children. Would have an interesting effect on popularity and lawsuits against Musk’s companies and possibly Goodwill marketing tool. Maybe even an increase the demand for purchasing their shares because they have invested interest

It’s a drop in the bucket for him - it’s HUGE for a lot of kids. Currently about $165/share. Put it in their Trump Accounts with the rest. Let’s assume 100 million kids are eligible - Musk owns well over 6 billion shares - it’s bigger than a rounding error but not by much. He’ll still own over 6 billion shares after this.
But people are going to turn this into something to flame Musk about because envy is an ugly thing.
Good for Elon. Encourage him to do more, not less.

That’s a $146.03 value as of this morning. Nobody gave me $146 today. Good on him.

Leftie scum hate Musk because he's a decent and good man.
Musk is giving away something THAT BELONGS TO HIM. Commie and democrat filth want to steal from hard working Americans and GIVE AWAY STUFF THAT DOESN'T BELONG TO THEM. You know the difference, right?

Looks like the IRS would have to specifically approve it, but there's nothing preventing these from going into Trump Accounts - and the IRS announced a few weeks ago it would be issuing Trump Accounts automatically to every child whose parent hasn't opened from for them. So good to go...
Stocks can be contributed to Trump Accounts, but only through specific philanthropic channels. While regular contributions to Trump Accounts must be made in cash and invested in low-cost, diversified U.S. stock index funds, the U.S. Department of the Treasury and IRS issued regulations in late 2026 allowing eligible donors to contribute readily tradable public company stock directly to the accounts.
Eligible Donors: Contributions must come from a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) nonprofit, private foundation, or donor-advised fund, and require Treasury approval. Holding Restrictions: Donated shares generally must be held for five years or until the child turns 18, whichever comes first.
Parental Control: Parents cannot decline these stock gifts or sell the shares before the holding period ends, even if the stock conflicts with their personal values.
Targeting: Donations must target a group of at least 5,000 children based on criteria like ZIP code, age, or family income.

When did you ever see some democrat give anything to anyone? They fight to steal money from hard working Americans to give to their voters. Democrats are the cheapest people and worst tippers in the world. Your comment about Musk is creepy and makes you sound like an ingrate.

They will be held in trust till the kids become adults then they become the kids property.
Parents cannot touch it.

Given who children are now, he is helping our future overseers.
