A family text message on her sister’s phone is what triggered the raid on embattled “Squad” Rep. Ilhan Omar’s (D-Minn.) Washington, DC, home, according to a bombshell report.
Federal investigators seized the phone of Omar’s sister, Sahra Noor, earlier this year, as they began looking into whether Somalia-born Omar conspired to commit immigration fraud when she came to the US, three people familiar with the matter told the New York Times.
The text messages were used to secure a federal judge’s approval for Department of Homeland Security agents to raid Omar’s home Monday, when they seized the congresswoman’s phone, passport, notebooks and personal computers.
Noor, who currently lives in Kenya, skipped a scheduled event in Rochester, Thursday, to promote her new book, “Salt in the Snow: A Somali Immigrant Story,” citing a “family emergency” amid the fallout from the raid.
Federal agents also went dumpster diving to collect DNA from Omar’s trash before the raid, sources told NewsNation.
“To me, if they are obviously trying to obtain DNA, then, yes, that is a very easy get, especially if it was discarded even in a trash can,” former FBI special agent Tracy Walder told the outlet.
The evidence is expected to go before a federal grand jury in Minnesota, to determine whether Omar and her family lied when they immigrated to the US in 1995.
The feds have issued subpoenas to several members of Omar’s family.

Sahra Noor, the sister of U.S. Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minnesota), listed a Minnesota home address when she incorporated Grit Partners Consulting. Business records also connect a resident of the property to figures convicted in the $250 million Feeding Our Future fraud scheme, the Daily Wire reported Friday.
The records raise questions about why Sahra Noor’s Grit Partners Consulting used the Lakeville address. Noor has “secured more than $20 million in funding for health initiatives” and consulted on projects backed by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, USAID, Gavi and the World Bank, according to her website.
That description does not say Grit Partners received more than $20 million from USAID, despite social media posts summarizing the firm as a “$20M USAID company.”
Like I said earlier, the DNA was taken in order to prove that Ilhan Omar is NOT who she really is, in fact her last name is Saaed, she took the name Omar from another family..her whole life is a total 1000 percent LIE..so I think they are going to run the DNA through the database to see if she really is who she says she is

I’m hoping that when the feds were investigating the “Feeding Our Future” defendants, they discovered text message evidence showing she was involved and getting a cut of the loot.

I’m not on her side at all and would cheer to see her or any other of her ilk deported but there seems to be a rub in all of this DNA track. DNA taken from a dumpster can belong to anyone. I suppose they can claim it is hers and based on probable cause or something obtain a proper DNA sample from her.
