1.) 馃拵馃У Dean Logan has run elections in Los Angeles County since 2008. 5.2 million registered voters.

Tuesday afternoon the Justice Department delivered a thumb drive to his office, with the password on a handwritten note.

He has not plugged it in.

2.) The letter is from Acting Deputy Attorney General Trent McCotter. The drive holds names the federal government "believes are likely noncitizens" who were mailed a ballot for November 3.

The ask: check every name in 48 hours. Noon Eastern, October 15.

Jewels Jones 庐
@JewelsJonesLive
路

3.) For any name the county cannot confirm, the letter's word is "segregate." Not cancel. Hold the ballot. No signature check. No count. Not until citizenship is settled.

Miss the deadline and "the United States will have no choice but to seek emergency relief."

路

4.) Logan's statement: "We do not consider the device a secure medium."

And: the letter "does not specify the number of individuals involved or describe the information contained in the records."

He has a list he will not open, of a size he does not know.

Jewels Jones 庐
@JewelsJonesLive
路

5.) Secretary of State Shirley Weber says her office never got a list at all. Her statement calls it a demand "that California blindly trust this administration without any evidence or legal authority."

Logan's own statement counts it: 21 days before Election Day.

Jewels Jones 庐
@JewelsJonesLive
路

6.) This did not start Tuesday.

July 17: DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin wrote to Weber that a preliminary review found 190,832 potential noncitizens registered in California.

Weber's reply: "I have serious doubts about the reliability of your data."

Jewels Jones 庐
@JewelsJonesLive
路

7.) The Justice Department had already asked for the whole file.

July 10, 2025, a letter to Weber: the complete statewide voter registration list, every field, in a spreadsheet, within 14 days.

California said no.

Jewels Jones 庐
@JewelsJonesLive
路

8.) That letter also carried numbers from the federal Election Assistance Commission survey.

California reported 2,178,551 voters with duplicate registrations, 15.6 percent.

Seven counties sent no duplicate data at all. Los Angeles was one of the seven.

Jewels Jones 庐
@JewelsJonesLive
路

9.) The Justice Department sued Weber for the file in September 2025.

January 15, 2026: Judge David Carter dismissed it and called the request "unprecedented and illegal."

This time the Department did not ask for California's list. It brought its own.

Jewels Jones 庐
@JewelsJonesLive
路

10.) Here is the part of Dean Logan's record that matters.

2017. Judicial Watch sued him in federal court, in his official capacity. Judicial Watch v. Logan. The complaint said Los Angeles County carried registrations equal to 112 percent of its adult citizens.

Jewels Jones 庐
@JewelsJonesLive
路
1h
11.) In January 2019 the county settled. Logan and the state put a number in it: "approximately 1,565,000 registrations on Los Angeles County's inactive file."

The county's position had been that removing them was "permissive, not mandatory."

Jewels Jones 庐
@JewelsJonesLive
路
1h
12.) The Supreme Court had settled that question seven months earlier. Husted v. A. Philip Randolph Institute, June 11, 2018: "federal law makes this removal mandatory."

After the 2022 election, Los Angeles County cancelled about 1.2 million inactive registrations.

Jewels Jones 庐
@JewelsJonesLive
路
1h
13.) Inactive does not mean illegal. It means moved, died, or never answered a notice. Nobody was accused of a crime.

Los Angeles County kept 1.5 million of those names on its rolls, and it took a lawsuit to clear them.

Same registrar. Same office.

Jewels Jones 庐
@JewelsJonesLive
路
1h
14.) July 9, 2025, the Justice Department wrote to Logan directly. It wanted records of every registration the county cancelled since January 2020 because the registrant did not meet the citizenship requirement.

Fourteen days to answer.

That was fifteen months ago.

Jewels Jones 庐
@JewelsJonesLive
路

15.) Logan's line: a removal takes "verifiable information, not assertions of unconfirmed data matching."

It took a lawsuit and a Supreme Court ruling to get 1.2 million inactive names off his rolls.

Noon Eastern, October 15. Then, the Department says, a courtroom.

Well, that sounds ... interesting.

Federal Marshalls. Deliver in person with the appropriate paperwork. And hand cuffs.

All of these egregious and traitorous actions are done by individuals. No systemic crappola is involved. So, get US Marshals to perp walk the ones who defy Fed orders out of their offices and over to a Fed holding cell until a court can convene.

Treat this as the insurgence and illegal behavior it is. Either quit playing around or give it up.

Can states constitutionally allow noncitizens to vote in national elections?

"Yes, under the U.S. Constitution, states generally have the authority to set voter qualifications for federal elections, including potentially allowing noncitizens; the federal criminal ban does not override that power and is currently under challenge as unconstitutional."

How old is the computer that it might autorun an executable from USB? Didn’t Windows stop that about 25 years ago?

So, you have illegals voting in the hundreds of thousands, and duplicates voting in the millions, so that at least 16% of all Registrations (and thus voting) is fraudulent.

It’s a Federal Election. They can seek emergency relief for that kind of a problem. See Voters Rights act, and statements against ‘Dilution’.

IF California cared about ‘Democracy’ like they claimed, they would use everything in their power to resolve this issue.

As an increasing national security threat, the entire state of California needs to be put under Federal control.

I understand that no conservative wants to set a precedent because Democrats would try to do it to Texas and Florida if they ever regain the White House, but California cannot continue to use fraud to build a domestic Marxist dictatorship while screaming "state's rights!" like 1950's Mississippi whenever anyone points out what they are really doing.

That's YOUR opinion. Aiding and abetting illegal aliens is a FEDERAL CRIME punishable by law.

ALSO, Crapifornia is CLEARLY OBSTRUCTING a federal investigation which is ALSO against the law.

A majority of CA clearly does care or Deep State wouldn’t have to steal its elections.

That's YOUR opinion.

It's not my opinion. I searched for the constitutionality of noncitizens voting in national elections ans posted the results.

It even says in the excerpt that it is an ongoing issue in the courts.

Reading comprehension is your friend.

The Federal government does not have the broad authority they are claiming here, and when these cases are fully litigated we will be worse off.

I think, possibly, allowance of voting by illegals could be allowed by a state if they voted to allow it and it became law, maybe. However, dues CA have a law that allows such?

Practical reality
No state currently allows noncitizens to vote in statewide or federal elections. All require citizenship (by constitution, statute, or both). A handful of localities (and D.C.) permit it only in certain pure local races (e.g., school board, city council) with separate ballots.
