Exactly.
So a state that never allowed slavery is taking money from hard working Americans who never owned slaves and giving it to people who were never slaves. Talk about insanity.
At least under the US flag. We could talk about what the Spanish and Mexicans did with the native population.
It’s not really insane if you realize that there will be a lot of money moving between the reparationers and the reparationees. First they figure out how much to give the reparationees and they go from there. Many administrative positions will be needed having salaries and benefits. The idea has nothing to do with giving reparations it has everything to do with handling large amounts of money. It gives Gavin Newsom a chance to use his favorite words, “milliondollars” and “billiondollars”. Milliondollars will be paid as reparations. Billiondollars will fund the program.
