The move comes as anger has erupted across American college campuses
Cornell University suspended parties at fraternity houses on campus for the rest of the academic year as turmoil at the Ivy League school continues over a former student’s rape allegations.
The school will hire additional support staff and task New York State Police with investigating sexual assault claims on campus for the duration of an independent review of Cornell’s policies, President Michael Kotlikoff said in a statement Tuesday. That review, announced earlier, will be led by former Acting Attorney General Sally Yates.
“These measures will provide time for a thorough review of fraternity life at Cornell to determine whether and how it can safely continue,” Kotlikoff said.
Anger has erupted at Cornell and other campuses after the former student, known as Jane Doe, filed a civil lawsuit claiming she was sexually assaulted at the Chi Phi Fraternity in 2024.
Cornell suspended the fraternity after Doe first reported the alleged assault to campus police in 2024, but the county district attorney declined to press charges at the time.
Doe’s lawsuit, filed in September, ignited a national conversation around sexual violence on college campuses, and put Cornell and local leaders in the hot seat. It's the "Liberal" way.
Jane Doe and her male friends are all whores - so everyone else suffers.
That’s just DEI in another face.
But, this is the reason for the whole Greek system.
Well, raping parties and cheating.
Otherwise, there’s just school and legal activities.
But did they suspend sorority parties???
Notice that they did not ban gang bangs.
Everything but the truth
Fat, drunk, and stupid is no way to go through life, son
The most damning piece of evidence was the fact the defendants used Gillette razors to shave with. Of course everyone knows Gillette users suffer fron “toxic masculinity” making this almost an open and shut xase.
Two years later. So it is a Virtue signal.
All frats are now on double secret probation.
Ending the email about the shaming with “My body, my choice” was a dead giveaway and a very inconvenient truth.
I’ll bet the Delta house is not going to comply.
Toga toga toga toga!!
Toga toga toga toga!!
as anger has erupted
