Who can doubt that wherever communism has risen, war follows?
The carnage it has caused in this and the last century is beyond dispute. The staggering numbers of people executed, imprisoned, poisoned, starved, and exiled to gulags are almost beyond belief, as the authors of The Black Book of Communism: Crimes, Terror, Repression have meticulously documented. The authors are all European. All were and are deeply acquainted with communist ideology and its fruits. One, Stephane Courtois, was a committed Maoist during the 1960s.
The book documents the death toll: 25 million in the former Soviet Union, 65 million in China, 1.7 million in Cambodia. Wherever Communism took root, it immediately led to criminality, terrorist tactics, and suppression of opposition.
But what does communism war against?
The answer to that question is best answered by former true believers who assiduously worked to advance Communism, but who eventually rejected Communism and exposed it for the horrors it produces within any society in which it roots itself.
In America, that question was answered by Whittaker Chambers.
For Chambers, who was a member of the American Communist underground for 13 years and who decisively rejected communist ideology by 1938, the struggles of the West were a war between two irreconcilable faiths -- Communism and Christianity. He wrote:
“The 20th century… is the first century since life began when a decisive part of the most articulate section of mankind has not merely ceased to believe in God, but has deliberately rejected God… The most conspicuously menacing form of the rejection is Communism.”

There is no shortage of people claiming to speak for God. One of the worst sins is doing evil in the name of God . Do you have a theory as to why God has allowed Islam to taint His name for centuries?

Thanks for posting. Interesting. The ultimate terrorist collective is Islam. They have murdered more humans than all of the other collectives combined. Their base camps are in every “communist” country and every Christian country. They continue to murder humans every day around the world. They will continue to murder every day into the future. They are not receding. Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, Castro, etc., came and went. The murdering MoFos are still here. Billions of the jihadis carry on for the cause. Their manifesto instructs all on how to become “leaders”. When one Mo falls another MoFo steps up. All civilizations should get together to eliminate this collective.

Christian faith runs counter to “communist faith,” or Islamic faith.
Is there a more stark comparison? Christ’s life and teaching are so different than communism or islam. That is why these other pseudo-faiths need to crush Christianity to survive.
Communism is fundamentally the politicalization of one of Lucifer’s many efforts to wage war against God’s creation. Most people do not think in these terms and associate his influence in creating these anti-human activities between good and evil which emanates from the metaphysical world into this world.

These are the most common purposes of God to permit great evils.
Punish the Church for failure to follow his teaching. There is a lot of this going on today.
Separating the wheat from the chaff.
Testing the faith of the faithful. When the Muslims march through our cities beheading those who do not submit to the Muslim faith there will be a great test of faith for Christians.

Thanks for that response. Sounds about right. My theory is that it is to motivate people to move away from Islamic territory. That is how America was discovered. Europe was trying to avoid Islamic lands in its trade with China ! Definitely an example of turning evil into good.
That will not always stand. God has a definite plan for all mankind, even if we don’t understand completely his plan for implementation of it. Everyone needs to study Revelations in the Holy Bible for a better view of how all this works out.
I was sitting at a backpacker hotel pub in Brussels Belgium about twenty years ago having a beer when a man dressed in a suit and tie came in and sat beside me. It was in the afternoon and we were the only patrons. I had just arrived from the states and was adjusting time zones, thus the early beverage.
We were discussing different forms of government and the pros and cons of each. I stated, please don’t misunderstand what I’m saying, but the ideal form of government is communalism, not to be confused with communism.
I went on to explain that communism forces people to live together out of fear of consequences where communalism causes people to want to live together and share out of Love.
My statement really moved him emotionally, and he asked if I knew who he was? I had no idea.
He explained that we were right next door to the European Union Headquarters in Brussels, and he was the representative for the France’s Communist Party at the EU!
It really annoys me that there are many Christian publications that promote communism by stating that Jesus taught communism. He did NOT. He taught Love. A Love that casts out all fear. Communism teaches fear. I cancelled my subscription to the Bruderhof magazine (Plough Quarterly as they were promoting this erroneous idea.
Bruderhof is a Christian Community in Pennsylvania and New York where the people live in a community with group property ownership, still recognizes the strength of the family unit, but has the evening meal and all worship services as a group. It was started by Eberhold Arnold in Germany, a pastor who was a German theologian and Christian writer. He was the founder of the Bruderhof in 1920 and was imprisoned and executed by Hitler. (His book “The Early Christians” is excellent.
My idealism does not take away the importance of capitalism and individual freedoms in society. They are necessary for individual soul growth.
Communism is like a legalistic dependency religion that is more based upon consequences of actions and fear to control the group.
Ego development, based upon freedom and capitalism is necessary for people to create an individual vessel or ego identity to hold their individual power. It is where they take their power over their will away from a dependency relationship.
The third stage of soul development begins with the diminishing of the ego or mid-life crisis. It’s the Christian “Dying Daily” that Jesus taught. It is where the ego is diminished and the self dissolves, realizing it is not in control. At this time the individual consciousness can shift and a person goes within and surrenders to Divine Will. This is where you feel “Born Again” and begin to experience a personal relationship with God.
People in a legalistic dependency religion cannot surrender to God as they do not have the authority over their individual will. Someone else is holding control over it. You cannot surrender to God that which you do not control.
Thus, the ego and individual control is a necessary stepping stone for people growing spiritually. Without it, the soul is shackled in its growth.
God desires a flat organizational chart. Everyone is to have their own direct relationship connection with the boss, and not be restricted by connecting to someone else who claims to have that connection.
My opinion is the socialism is bring Islam into the formerly Christian West to disrupt the remnants of Christian culture.
God is allowing this to turn the West back to Christianity.
God will use the fire of Islam to purify the pig iron that is the West today into the hardened Steal that is the true faith.
Spain was ruled by Islam for over 800 years. I pray that it will not take that long for Christians to drive out the Great Heresy a second time.
