Trade between Russia and Iran grew by more than 21 per cent in 2025, with positive growth continuing in the first seven months of 2026, Russian President Vladimir Putin has said.

Putin said this during a meeting with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian in Turkmenbashi, where the leaders discussed bilateral cooperation under their strategic partnership agreement.

He said the agreement, signed in early 2025, provided a framework for expanding cooperation across various sectors and strengthening economic ties between the two countries.

Putin also highlighted growing humanitarian ties, including cultural exchanges and other joint activities organised in both countries.

Pezeshkian reaffirmed Iran’s commitment to strengthening relations with Russia, saying cooperation in trade, economic and humanitarian affairs was progressing steadily.

He said both countries had the political will to advance their partnership under the strategic agreement and expressed confidence in expanding cooperation across multiple sectors.

The meeting followed their recent talks in Bishkek during the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation summit, underscoring continued high-level engagement between the two countries.

With us now buying Russian diesel,,,,,,we are helping fund the Iranian nuclear program, and helping Russia in their war with Ukraine.

At least it will knock a few dimes off the price of diesel here….lol..

Come on Miami. It’s like my long ago ex. Ran into her at a friend’s(mutual) funeral. New husband who I liked. My first inquiry “You two are gonna stay married, right?” Then I turned to her (new) husband and declared: “You’re a better man than I am”.

Chortled.

Our main concerns with Ukraine is to stop them from targeting oil refineries and of course selling them (actually the EU) munitions because we have to keep the military industrial complex fed for our own good.

Neither Russia nor Ukraine will be allowed to end their conflict.

Our main concern with Iran is to prohibit a nuclear Iran and prevent their strong arming oil exports. Of course that will inevitably require the destruction of the IRGC, as we are performing now. Patience is a virtue.

Loaning them what money?
Didn’t Europe/Biden impose massive economic sanctions against Russia?
And what’s that got to do with Iran nuclear program?

Just for you,,,,from Chat GPT…..

Loans or credit from Russia…

Trade arrangements: The two countries use agreements to facilitate trade despite Western sanctions.

Military cooperation: They have cooperated on defense and miltary technology,

Investment and infrastructure: Russia has supported joint energy and transportation projects with Iran.

And just for good measure, again, just for you…lol

The latest report says yes, Russia is preparing to lend Iran money. According to reports published October 6–9, 2026: Amount: $1 billion.
Larger plan: The $1 billion is reportedly the first installment of a proposed $20 billion Russian loan package.

Capice?

I am sure you believe the IRGC would not use any money lent to them for other than honorable purposes, right. Again, dream on!

What the heck do you think they will do with the money they get from us buying their diesel?

I’ll clear it all up for you from another thread…

Trump has stated many times he doesn’t care about the midterms,,,,

but we are buying diesel from Russia to keep prices down before the midterms,,,,,,,

while we are exporting 1.3 million barrels of diesel per day keeping prices high here,,,,,

while Russia will likely loan that some of that money to Iran,,,,,,

who will use that money to buy missiles from China to attack our ships and troops,,,, and fund their nuclear program…..

and use the rest of the diesel money we send to Russia to help fund their war against Ukraine,,,

while we are sending military equipment to Ukraine, who is trying to bomb Russian refineries.

I’m glad you mentioned nonsense, because for a non-ostrich you sure have your head in the sand…lol

That should finally clears things up you. Once again, capice?

” Trump has stated many times he doesn’t care about the midterms,,,, “

Still talking utter nonsense??
Yup.
Trump has repeatedly said the exact opposite of that.
In fact Trump cares so much about winning midterms he’s out to a different state every day campaigning hard.
How many 80 year old guys can do that?
