Christa Pike is conscious and speaking at a hospital nearly one week after the botched execution, her attorneys said on Tuesday.
“Against all odds, Christa Pike is conscious, speaking, and continues to receive critical medical care. Despite the severe damage she endured to her arms, she is still handcuffed and shackled to the bed. Her recovery is medically unprecedented. Her prognosis remains unclear but, at a minimum, we expect a long recovery,” attorneys for Pike said in a statement, according to The Associated Press.

Let her relive the bad experience every time she closes her eyes.
Her victim was unavailable for comment.
“Despite the severe damage she endured to her arms, she is still handcuffed and shackled to the bed.”
Oh give it a freakin’ rest already. Nobody wants to hear a sob story about somebody that did what she did.
And lawyer’s wonder why people hate their guts.
BUMP
An absolute nightmare. She should have been hung decades ago. This poisoning people to death thing just seems wrong to me. Why I feel that way I cannot explain, but I do.
So, apparently she is now ‘not guilty by reason of inanity’...
This was botched on purpose IMHO .
Long journey to recovery ?
Should be quick trip to a Phlebotomist who knows how to hit a vein , I hear the jugular is easy to hit.
So, not exactly "breaking" news.
According to AI “a shunt or catheter can be placed in or routed through the internal jugular vein for specific medical procedures”
I have absolutely no medical training whatsoever but it seems to be pretty simple to me.
There were three women attending her. They should all be fired.
The Bee had a funny headline yesterday… “Tennessee officials struggle to figure out a way to kill prisoner on ventilator plugged into the wall”.
I haven’t heard anyone say anything about this being some kind of miracle...Not yet, anyway.
The carotid artery is an easy poke too .
Botched, on purpose.
For political hay
To defy the sentence/punishment
To enable decades of more litigation.
I guess left has four new heroes: the convicted murderer and the three women who “botched” her execution. Did her request for no last meal include no liquids for a while? Did the three officials allow her to go to the execution dehydrated? I am not a doctor, but I know that dehydration makes it more difficult to find a vein.
I must say, her childhood was quite rough. No excuse to torture and mutilate someone but none the less, her younger years contributed.
Her victim isn’t.
A miracle?......a curse is more like.
Just finish Pike off the way she finished her victim off - take a large piece of asphalt and bash her skull in. To honor her wishes, you can even have a woman do it.
“Against all odds,
