A viral video captured an Arizona college cheerleader being violently slammed to the ground and pummeled on top of a bicycle by cops after she allegedly interfered with an arrest.
Arizona State University senior Eryn Bonner was hit with two misdemeanor charges last week in Tempe after a harrowing video captured cops allegedly leaving her covered in bruises during an arrest in July, according to the Tempe Police Department and ABC15.
Bonner, a member of the ASU Stunt team, was seen in the early morning of July 19, reapproaching officers who were arresting another individual after being told to get back.
“Let him go, let him go,” Bonner could be heard screaming before the altercation unfolded.
The college student was then pushed to the ground by a cop, the clip shows.
Tempe police allege that Bonner punched an officer multiple times, the outlet reported.
The clip, including bodycam footage from the arrest, shows the officer then toss her onto a bicycle and restrain her — appearing to punch her before another officer swoops in to cuff her.
The Maricopa County Attorney’s Office has declined to pursue felony charges against Bonner, and cops told the outlet that they would not resubmit the felony charges.

Looks to me like she asked for it. I wish it hadn’t happened, and I bet both the cops and her feel the same way. But she asked for it.
The clip, including bodycam footage from the arrest,
I am tired of "allege" and all of its forms. Did or did not the body cam video show her punching the cop?
‘Allegedly interfered”.
Uhh what?
I saw the video. She was trying to stop the arrest then the cop pushed her away and she fell. She then got up and ran back to the arrest in progress and started grabbing the cop. Despite verbal commands AND the push.
In what possible manner is this not clear cut?
She’s black, the officer appears to be white, so Tempe is going cut its losses and write a check.
that’s how you get more of the same.
“Let him go, let him go!”Screeched the AWFL while interfering with law enforcement.
You wrote “I wish it hadn’t happened”
I haven’t watched the clip yet, but I think more along the line of “just desserts.” These things do not have to happen. The recipe for preventing them is very simple.
The promiscuous use of “alleged” irks the hell out of me, too. Why use it when you have factual evidence? It’s like these writers and/or editors think they are in a courtroom trial.
“after being told to get back”
She chose poorly.
Just curious ... will you please cite that law? Is it Federal? State? Local of some sort?
I will also point out her man was obviusly harassing and threatening a white guy.
No idea what happened before that but he was clearly getting ready to assault him (likely).
Did I detect a commando situation in those scenes?😎
Is that what you saw?? Because when i watched i see her in the melee with the cops to begin with- when she shouldn’t have been there- and put her hands on the cops...
After backing away i then see her move towards the scrum with the cops a second time- even though a bystander was trying to keep her away before she got there- she was ultimately pushed aside by the cops...
I don’t know how they came to the conclusion she was an ASU cheerleader as well...
“Alleged” = “we don’t want to get sued for our reporting”

Lesson #1: Don't interfere with cops doing their duty.
Lesson #2: Always wear panties when assaulting cops.
Your choice. Didn’t know AS offered a course in dumbassery.
Nothing good happens after 12 AM and especially near 2 AM.
If they write and publish carelessly, they may very well find themselves in a courtroom trial. So it's "alleged" this and "appears" that, and that's how they keep the defamation suits at bay.
The video is weird - it has a label warning about “distressing content” at the beginning, but the entire video was just entertaining and uplifting.
Because if for some reason she is found not guilty{I didn’t say innocent} she could sue anyone reporting it as a fact.
