President Donald Trump on Saturday reiterated his pledge to give every adult U.S. citizen $5,000 if Republicans retain control of both chambers of Congress in next month's midterm elections, while warning of an economic "disaster" if Democrats win.
"Our country is doing so well under Republican leadership that only I can make you this promise," Trump said in a video posted on Truth Social. "If Republicans win the House of Representatives and the Senate, I'm going to give all adult citizens in the United States of America $5,000."
"But Democrat policies won't allow this to happen," Trump said. "In fact, the opposite is going to take place. They're going to raise your taxes, and they're going to destroy our country and certainly destroy our economy."
Trump predicted severe economic consequences if Democrats take control of Congress, invoking the stock market crash that preceded the Great Depression.
"It'll be a 1929 disaster if they get in," Trump said. "So, if the Democrats win, you will have an economic depression, much like 1929."

"And remember, just recently I gave all members of the military $1,776, just like 1776," Trump said. "And everyone said that was an impossible thing to do, but I did it. Everybody got their money. I did it, and I'd do it again."
Trump said Republicans could make the payments because the government is "taking in massive amounts of money through tariffs" and because of what he called "record-setting economic success."
Trump put the cost of what he calls the "Trump dividend" at approximately $1 trillion and claimed the United States has attracted $21 trillion in investment during the past 15 months…

Elite desperate Democrats and RINOs have been bribing post-17th Amendment (17A), constitutionally low-information voters for many generations with 16th Amendment (16A; direct taxes)-facilitated, unconstitutional taxing and spending in order to stay in power imo.
More specifically, consider that most post-17A ratification lawmakers discovered that they could promise voters who have evidently never really studied the federal government's constitutionally limited powers every unconstitutional federal social spending program under the sun to get themselves elected. Constitutionally naïve voters eventually took the bait and elected these crooks, and then reelected them!
Then once in office, criminal-minded lawmakers abuse their 16A powers by simply fulfilling their campaign promises for unconstitutional federal spending, scandalously ignoring their oaths to respect their constitutional Article I, Section 8 spending limits when doing so.
In other words, Trump's $5,000 for all citizens can arguably be regarded as the tip of the iceberg for reparations for a lifetime of unconstitutional federal taxes.
In fact, Congress has been "concerned" about 16A, evidenced by a resolution to repeal that amendment a few years back that unsurprisingly failed.
The 16th Amendment actually desperately needs to be repealed along with 17A, popular voting for federal senators, the chances for a repeal amendment no more real than the "fact" that Trump can never be elected president imo.
Maybe Kushner can share the wealth? Being the President's son-in-law seems to be paying off.

Trump—You need not give away $5,000 dollars to win—Just do the following: A) Win the War with Iran—Get them to change Governments—a real Republic or Bring back the Shah’s son as a constitutional Monarch. Get the Nation on a peaceful track. B) Get the Ukraine War to end in a deal that will stop the bloodbath. Topple Zelenskyy and bring in new leaders who will rebuild Ukraine. and C) Topple the Cuban Commie dictatorship and return it to a democratic state—she is half way there. D) End the power of the Mexican criminal Cartels—blow up their drug factories, raid the palaces and compounds of the uber rich drug Czars. Do these things—or just one and the Republicans will win in a “Red Wave”.
I’m no hero worshiper but if you weigh what Trump has accomplished against any errors, it is no contest.
