The way I see it God is giving her another chance to get right with Him.
Unfortunately this is the result of the lawfare that has constrained the choice of modes of administering capital punishment. If she survives, expect there to be a cruel and unusual punishment argument raised to prevent her from facing another execution. Since this was not contemplated in law, I doubt there is much clarity on what comes next. If she survives, very sorry for the victims’ families, who deserved some closure.
