A Florida woman was arrested and accused of leaving her four minor children, including an infant, alone while she went on a weekend cruise, according to police.
The suspect, 29-year-old Nathalie Belizaire, of North Miami Beach, is accused of four counts of child neglect without great bodily harm.
Belizaire’s attorney denied the allegations.
According to North Miami Beach police, the father of one of Belizaire’s children, who is 2 months old, had seen on a post on her WhatsApp story on Thursday “depicting what appeared to be a cruise ticket purchase.”
That day, he spoke to Belizaire, who told him she would be dropping the children off with their great-grandmother, police said.
But when he went to her apartment Saturday night, he saw the TV on through the blinds and heard the children talking inside, which led him to call 911, an arrest report states.
Both police and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded and forced entry into the residence.
There, “all four minor children were discovered inside ... without adult supervision and were hiding together in the bathroom,” police said.

that was a long time ago. I don’t think the average 11 year old could deal with an infant ( nor should they have to- it’s their mothers child, not theirs.)
Find one/all of the kids dads and see if he’d take his crotchfruit for awhile.

The age of the oldest makes a big difference in how bad the story is but the Daily Mail says it is the authorities hiding the age of the oldest, so it isn’t the media making clickbait titles this time.
“Authorities have not revealed the ages of all of Belizaire’s children, but said one was two months old and another was two years old.”
Look into her welfare use and how this trip was funded, most likely at taxpayer expense.

and was apparently disturbed that the mother abandoned the kids by going on a cruise, of all things.
I wouldn’t trust my grandson’s father to babysit a hamster.

Yes, but in a real relationship she should have been able to call on one or more of the children’s fathers to take care of the children while she was on a short vacation.
