President Donald Trump on Monday called for Axios to "withdraw" a "hoax" story that reported he offered sanctions relief and frozen funds to Iran.
Trump issued the denial on Truth Social after Axios reported, citing U.S. officials, that he was willing to provide Iran economic relief in return for "concrete" concessions involving Tehran's nuclear program.
"Axios just released a story that 'Trump' offered Sanctions Relief and Frozen Funds to Iran. This is untrue. I offered them NOTHING!" Trump wrote.
"Axios' story, like most others, is a HOAX, used only for purposes of satisfying their Trump Derangement Syndrome," he added. "They should withdraw this fake story, IMMEDIATELY!"
Axios updated its report to include Trump's denial but maintained that U.S. officials had described sanctions relief and access to frozen Iranian assets as potential incentives for nuclear concessions.

It looks like Axios didn't remove the story, but instead "updated" it.
I like how we negotiate without making offers or concessions.
He wrote the book, so I guess he knows.

I think the names of those divulging info like this should be required prior to posting. Didn’t news folks have to have at least two credible sources to collaborate info before the stories were released? What happened to that?
You are still better off today than you were 4 years ago. That’s a fact.
What happened was that MSM offices noted that otherwise worthless grads from elite colleges would push lies for less $$ than the older ones who still clung to some semblance of integrity. So, using DEI as the excuse they purged the staff.
The recent grads, however, were typical trust-fund arseholes who knew only how to access social media — and that was 90% commie trash media.

For the sake of argument let’s believe that Trump actually “offered them NOTHING”, then what’s his plan? Does he think they are going to abandon their nuclear plans and control of the strait out of the goodness of their heart? Or is he o.k. with things going the way they have been going for the foreseeable future? Does he think they will eventually tire out and become reasonable? If he is just going to rely on brute force and the overwhelming might of the US military, why have we stopped bombing them?
When can he just go away? This is getting embarrassing and he is destroying the Republican party.
We truly had the future in our hands after the debacle of the era of woke and the laughing stock Joe Biden. We could have had control of the government for the next 30 years if we focused on making America great again.
The people who actually run our country had other plans. Those plans were centered around how to help another country and another people.
I believe the “two credible sources” (and NOT just each citing the other) exists now only in our memories and has for some time. You cannot make someone see something if they refuse to look and that is the rub of low information voters of both parties.

For those who think this impossible, look at the Democrats today; there Party is quickly being metamorphosed into a Marxist movement with a predictable name change to follow.
I am a cynic, I know, but I fully expect Trump to announce a deal that pretty much mirrors the one he is now denying.
Trump would never make a deal that’s worse than the one made by Obama. He would let this drag on for years before doing that.
Letting it drag on is a worse deal.
Yes. He’s already endorsed 300 Billion in reconstruction expenses to Iran. And an immediate release of Iranian assets if they surrender.
But I don’t think Trump is stupid enough to pull an Obama and give away the farm before or even after a deal is signed. If a deal is ever agreed to and signed in the first place.
