2/ The files are not mainly a story about one man’s crimes, though those are documented and monstrous.

They show finance, philanthropy, science, and state power operating as one, with a convicted predator at the switchboard for a decade after his 2008 conviction.

My primary conclusion is that the nation-state is no longer the central unit of power - it is the shadow network itself, which operates beneath the layer of accountability associated with democratic institutions, and whose architecture of impunity allows it to stay entirely above the law.

Epstein set the plans in motion. A major U.S. bank drafted the structure for a proposed $100 billion philanthropic fund.

That fund never launched. A parallel one did, anchored by a global philanthropy.

The “Epstein Files” are the biggest nothingburger I have ever seen in half a century of watching politics.

Dems were not interested in looking at it, certainly not revealing it, until President Trump got into office.

This op that went back to the early 2000s was dragged out in order to sow doubt Dumb, uninformed entertainers such as late notes and Tim Dillon, for instance, and media people used it to spread doubt and hatered for Trump

I agree and disagree.

From the perspective of politics, I agree, with one caveat.
That is that it seems like politicians as well as influential wealthy and famous people got protected.

However, in terms of controversies, I think that what Epstein did was huge. It is absolutely amazing how many famous and powerful people he entangled into his web, and how he not only avoided prosecution for his activities, but was able to stay out of the spotlight for so long.

the only thing that has not been released is the victims names, because they didnt want their names released.

The release has come in dribs and drabs, as opposed to the Day 1 avalanche that Glenn Beck, among others, predicted.

The DOJ has made contradictory statements that have weakened its credibility. (The most outstanding example being Pam Bondi’s famous declaration that the client list was “sitting on my desk right now.”)

President Trump has dismissed the Epstein affair as old (i.e., unimportant) news.

Lastly, the files have still not been released in their entirety.

That’s why this story still has legs. I don’t know if it’s a blackmail operation, but the missteps by the DOJ have kept it alive. President Trump is untouched personally, but his underlings have done him no favors.

Someone like Tom Fitton should be assigned complete special authority to handle this outside normal DOJ channels.

When people assume the accusers here have any intention of providing the public with honest resolution of this issue and don’t assume they are using it to eliminate President Trump they look at it like it’s been handled fairly, with no manipulation, no propaganda

That’s the issue. When people are innocent or even part of the good guy team, accusers who are desperate, pathological and criminal can successfully propagandize
