FR hasn't really changed much over the decades I've been on it. And I know many people have supported it directly financially (I have in the past as well).
I'd love to see them use some of that money to improve the service. I'm not knocking them for wanting to make a profit on what they developed, but complacency leads to death. As our crowd gets older we need newer users to join to keep the community growing.
So what features would you love to see FB add that you'd be willing to donate to get?

It was an interesting team. 25 people. All the original developers of the systems being transformed from standalone web servers into a modular architecture capable of being "scripted" to allow workflows across the components. It worked well, but required huge servers that could load up all the kubernetes managed components. Rooms full of dedicated servers were replaced with...rooms full of shared servers. The tribal knowledge of the old systems and required interactions was critical to the success of the program. Even more fun was having some of the system running under Linux and some under Windows and coordinating the show.

I used AI a few times to generate a starting template when exploring a new language implementation of a problem solved in another language e.g. generate a Rust server that consumes GET/POST operations with JSON I/O similar to a Java Spring server. You get a working first cut, then move on to doing a clean implementation that matches project guidelines for style, metric conformance and passes unit tests.

My mobile phone, unsurprisingly, accepts TXTs, but I have seen a couple of FR posters who claim they don’t have such.
No matter, I generally dislike 2FA. In most cases I view it as a extra burden on users, more oriented to securing the website (like this proposal) than benefiting the visitor.
