Cats don’t care if you love them. They only want what they want and whoever supplies it is used by them. Cats are independent animals that care about themselves. They go where they want and do what they want until they are restrained from it. And if they want it bad enough, they will go somewhere else to get it. That’s just cats.

You can almost certainly find certain cats who behave just like this - but that is not true of most non-feral cats.
