My big beef remains the Saudis generally, stupid absolute monarchies specifically, and our longtime leaning on them nationally.
Yes - stealing from generations past “bastards but our bastards” and I understand that the replacement for the ‘house of saud’ would be worse.
The reality is that they’ve got a military budget larger than anyone else in the ME except Israel. They’ve purchased (my RTX stocks them) weaponry that also puts anyone except Israel to shame in the region.
But they’re utterly incompetent.

When oil money is involved forget about accurate or honest reporting. Futures and options trading guarantees totally unreliable information.
I just try and figure out whose got the assets to mess up the other guys’ assets. Then what the effect will be on global crude prices. Then trade accordingly. So far this year I’m beating the market rather well. Just sayin.
Maybe the Saudis should just surrender.
