When TMZ DC asked Rep. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.) about Lindsay Clancy's murder case this week, she was blunt. In fact, I think she said exactly what a lot of people have been thinking but are generally too polite to say out loud.(snip)
When TMZ DC’s Jacob Wasserman mentioned Reddington’s pardon request to Mace, she vented her uninhibited opinion. "Which is how retarded it is," she said. "He knows, as an attorney in the state of Massachusetts, you can't ask for a federal pardon for a state case. I mean, it doesn't take a lawyer — I’m not even a lawyer, I didn't go to law school — it doesn't take a lawyer to figure that out. It was just a publicity stunt. I think it's nasty; it's ugly."
Mace had more to say on the subject. "Her children are dead. She should be dead, too," she averred. "She should get the death penalty. It should be public. It should be a public execution."
I don't think Wasserman could wrap his head around what she was saying, and he pushed to spell out exactly what she meant: "So when you say public execution, spell that out for me."
If he expected her to walk it back, he was very wrong.
Mace laid it out. "It could be by a firearm, it could be electric chair — I don't really care. Not an injection," she said, adding that it should stand as "a warning to women everywhere. You don't kill your kids." When Wasserman suggested that might be "a little out of bounds," Mace rejected his premise outright and doubled down. "Absolutely not," she said. "Child rapists, too — add them to the list of public executions. If people can get away with murdering children, what else can they do?"

A child less than nine months old is fair game in many States ... they even have special slaughter centers staffed with professional killers who make a living chopping up babies using dull knives ...

It’s pretty much the same phenomenon the public indulges in after every sensational murder.

And there is no doubt coming from me on that. But our laws, the ones the citizens put in or allowed to be there, contain the reasonable doubt defence that includes showing that the prosecution’s proof must be so strong that no sensible person would have a logical reason to doubt the defendant’s guilt for any reason within the law. In an insanity defense, the defendant admits the action but asserts a lack of culpability based on mental illness. And since I haven’t read here any of the freeper entering this thread were either at the trial or at the scene, I have to assume you are making a judgement call based upon what you read.
We do have a certain amount of facts:
She did kill the kids immediately following it with attempted suicide.
Early Antidepressant Use: While in nursing school following her 2012 college graduation, she was prescribed the antidepressants Prozac and Wellbutrin.
First Child (December 2017): Gave birth to her daughter Cora; court documents note she experienced “some anxiety” after this pregnancy.
Second Child (September 2019): Gave birth to her son Dawson; she developed a higher degree of anxiety and was offered Zoloft, which she declined at the time.
Gave birth to her third child, Callan. Fall 2022: Struggled significantly with severe postpartum anxiety, insomnia, and “brain fog”. Testimony showed she was prescribed roughly 13 different psychiatric medications across multiple providers in a short span (including Zoloft, Ativan, and other antidepressants/antipsychotics) without complete coordination or record-sharing among her clinicians.
January 2023: Experienced a worsening mental health crisis, which included a multi-day stay at an inpatient/locked-ward facility (McLean Hospital) shortly before the tragedy.
Expert witnesses and defense attorneys argued she was suffering from undiagnosed bipolar disorder and severe postpartum psychosis, experiencing auditory hallucinations and command delusions....
“Dr. Jennifer Tufts told jurors she did not have or seek records from Clancy’s recent outpatient psychiatric treatment and trusted that Clancy would be candid and disclose any information relevant to her treatment during their 14 telehealth sessions — the last of which took place Jan. 23, 2023, one day before prosecutors say Clancy strangled her children and attempted to take her own life.”
It all comes down to following the law. If society is not going to follow the laws on the books they put in or allowed to be in, then we are no different than the third world countries and have no recourse for any law. Might as well be back in the stone age. And who do you blame? Why not the medical teams that supposedly treated her and gave her enough medication to drop a rhino with nothing other than the word of a person they say is mentally ill as to who treated her and why they perscribed medication and should have alerted social services to investigate the possibilities? That’s their job. How about the father that lived with her and was aware of her problem illness? How many people knew this was happening?
This is a situation where the gun is being trialed and the failure of the system allowed it to happen not doing what they should have done. You euthanize an animal when it no longer is living a quality life and is suffering. Humans fall under a different catagory for that and in many cases are not within that level of scope. So the question is are we executing a person for punishment or to create a scare into others doing a crime using euthanasia or punishment? I would like to think those on top of the food chain (humans) could know the difference.

I truly think you know perfectly well that during the nine months following conception, in many States, a child has no legal protections whatsoever ... and that killing said child is legally considered a "woman's right". I think you know perfectly well that many politicians, particularly female politicians, campaign on supporting that "woman's right" to kill babies. I think you know perfectly well that there exist in many States businesses and "non-profit organizations" dedicated to carrying out that killing.
In other words, I think you know EXACTLY what I'm talking about.
I do not know of any states allowing child murder up to nine months. Please supply a citation for this claim.

Furthermore, you know perfectly well that I'm referring to the ongoing mass slaughter of the unborn ... Do you have trouble acknowledging that "unborn" people are PEOPLE. Are you disturbed that I refer to them, correctly, as children or babies? Is the murder of three "born" children somehow more heinous than the ongoing mass slaughter of "unborn" children?
