Saturday Night Live UK returned for its second season — and wasted no time getting stuck into Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
The Sky series cold opened with a sketch (watch above) in which the Duke and Duchess of Sussex (as depicted by Jack Shep and Ayoade Bamgboye) visited the King and Queen in Scotland's Balmoral Castle.
Larry Dean's King Charles III was aghast at his child's reappearance. "Don't tell me you've spent all your Netflix money already," he asked incredulously.
"It was $60 million. How long was it meant to last?" Prince Harry replied.
Queen Camilla, as played by Emma Sidi, was rather warmer in her reception. "Hello, sweet Harry. And beautiful Meghan, as brown as ever," she exclaimed.
The latter remark was an apparent reference to the Duke and Duchess' interview with Oprah Winfrey, in which they revealed that an unnamed member of the royal family had concerns about how dark their unborn son Archie's skin might be.
Markle, who has hosted two seasons of an unsuccessful Netflix lifestyle series, responded: "Hey Step Queen. I brought you a gift … It's ice. I made it myself. I can give you the recipe."

Our own SNL's last funny joke was about General Franco still being dead.
I never understood the hatred for this couple.
They seem happy together.
They LEFT the royalty (a gold digger would want to stay)
She was a great actress in ‘Suits’
I don’t see them demanding anything of others
You clearly haven’t kept up with them.
A skit about loathsome Harry and Meghan being chided by loathsome Charles and Camilla (the 1980s version of Harry and Meghan) on the UK syndicated version of a loathsome “comedy” program that should have been put out of its misery decades ago. It doesn’t go far enough it ridiculing any of them. Do a skit where Charles attacks Harry for being a cuck and Harry throws being Camilla’s tampon back at him. That, I’d watch.
I have not felt the need to. They have ZERO impact on my life.
They aree in the news almost everyday. I don’t keep up with everything they do, but they ain’t what you made them out to be.
When Megan and Harry decamped in a sulk to the US, they did so with the expectation that Megan's celebrity and acting skills would easily be converted into wealth. As it was, she was in minimal demand and, once again, proved to be difficult for staff and business partners to deal with.
Megan and Harry also slammed the royal family for supposed racism and various obscure insults. The public did not rush to the side of the fugitive Sussexes. Then, with cash dwindling, they returned to the UK. They are now poised to be troublesome instead of penitent and wise enough to be chastened and to quietly bide their time for more favorable circumstances.
In fairness to Megan, she is not particularly bright and seems not to realize the importance of the British sense of propriety. When a Brit says that "something is not done," it reflects a hard line of a settled code of conduct that is not to be transgressed or argued with. Americans can be clueless about that sort of thing.
I don’t care about them one way or the other- I just see a disconnect.
Media hatred is usually a sign that they hate good people.
