Buscemi did not announce his presence at the site. He just showed up and quietly went to work. We only know he was there because someone recognized him in a picture taken of the rescue efforts.

By the way, I hesitated to post this story because I had already done so a few times in the past. But then I thought we might need an uplifting story on this sad day.

My favorite role for Steve was in ‘Death Of Stalin’. A great many stories could have been made about the Soviet Union but Hollywierd focused on the Nazi’s instead. One of the reasons why is that the Soviet Union infiltrated Hollywood to keep that from happening. Ronald Reagan and Walt Disney actually asked Congress for help first. The Left succeeded in painting Congress investigating Communism as something bad. That in itself could be another great film in the making.

Before I read this Buscemi was an interesting actor but nothing special. I will never think of him that way again.

I heard about this a while back. I had no idea at the time he had been a NYC firefighter. Much respect for him.

Death of Stalin is great from top to bottom. I especially enjoyed Jason Isaacs as Marshal Zhukov.

“My favorite role for Steve was in ‘Death Of Stalin’”

That was a good one.

I had no idea he had been a firefighter.

Great clip. Thanks. I liked him in Fargo. I’ve never seen other movies.

He had a bit part as a beatnik bartender in “The Hudsucker Proxy,” which was a fun movie, but the title was a bit obscure.

It’s the teeth. He said he would never have them fixed because he was afraid he would not be hired again. He was good in The Death Of Stalin and it was a good movie. Loved how no one even tried a Russian accent.
