In 2024, the net loss was 81,000; last year, it was 97,000. And it is not just those who actually emigrate, but also those who have already mentally checked out of the country. “When it is precisely these people who are mentally quitting, that is not a character flaw on their part. It is the price a country pays for believing for too long that it can milk achievement, lecture people about freedom, and regard success with suspicion without ever having to pay the bill.”

Run, scream, flee.
Great plan.
How about fight like a cornered rat about to be eaten?
The oldest roots of German conformity started with Martin Luther in the 16th century. Luther did not just change religion; he preached that obeying legal and government authority was a spiritual duty. My wonderful wife is of German ancestry. I spent 10 of my Army years in Germany and have a pile of photos and things I brought home from those tours in Germany. Her family moved to Wisconsin way back in the 1880’s. She wants to visit Germany. I told her no; it was unsafe, loaded with muslim barbarians, and I wouldn’t spend a dime helping the Germans get out of their problems. I support moving all our other military out of Germany and the UK. Bring them all home.

I blogged over this a month ago. Trend has been edging upward for several years. Some exit to Austria or Switzerland. Some head out to Canada or the US.
