A belligerent passenger who was duct-taped and zip-tied after hurling slurs on an American Airlines flight was fired from an Arizona realty company over his “concerning criminal charges.”
Arthur Layne Lundeen, 67, was axed from his job as a real-estate agent at the Tucson-based company Long Realty after he was identified as the lunatic who hurled the N-word at a flight attendant and shouted anti-gay insults on American Airlines flight 618 Thursday night.
“Long Realty is aware of reports concerning criminal charges filed against a former affiliated real estate agent arising from an incident that allegedly occurred during a commercial flight,” Long Realty wrote in a statement on Facebook Sunday.
“Upon learning of the incident, Long Realty promptly ended its affiliation with the individual. The individual is no longer associated with or authorized to represent Long Realty in any capacity,” the company said.
“The conduct described in the reports is wholly inconsistent with the professionalism, integrity, compassion, and respect for others that Long Realty expects from those affiliated with the company.”
We expect those associated with our company to uphold those values, and we have no tolerance for conduct that so clearly falls short of those expectations,” the statement continued. “Our thoughts are with the passengers, crew members, and others affected by this incident.”
Lundeen’s LinkedIn said he was a vice president at Long Realty in Tucson. However, his profile had been scrubbed from the company site.

OMG!!!
Sounds like he deserves it!
If a black guy called me whitey, I’d want him fired too - especially if he didn’t approve of homos. /S
It looks like an episode of alcohol induced belligerence.
It screams that for me.
It’s good he wasn’t hormonal and strangled another passenger. Then he’d get away with it.
EC
While I’m sure he deserved to be restrained...if he had been black I seriously doubt he would have been treated in such a manner.
After all, blacks call each other the N word with impunity all the time so that wouldn’t have been an issue.
I wonder what he really thinks....
Well, they did serve him peanuts instead of smoked almonds.
I’m in Florida. I recall a time when every stay-at-home mom and everyone who didn’t have a regular job became a realtor. Somehow real-estate became the default if you couldn’t do anything else. Whoa unto you if you got saddled with one of these people because real-estate sales does take knowledge and experience. A good real-estate saleswoman backed out five grand in carrying charges because I was buying a home that hadn’t been built yet. The developer’s staff said he’d never take the offer because the price was the price. The developer glanced at the offer and signed it. THAT is a good real-estate agent.
My guess is, this guy is worthless as an agent...or anything else.
No kidding?
” he was identified as the lunatic who hurled the N-word at a flight attendant and shouted anti-gay insults”
I doubt this is what got him restrained and arrested.
This guy forms a part of a segment of the public that seems to go absolutely nuts when they step onto a flight. Too bad there is not some type of scan that could identify these people before they board a flight.
alcohol and airports equal duct taped passengers.
OMG- is every post on FR going to refer to Lindsay Clancy now?
One wonders what precipitated his outburst…
Was the airline attendant either of those two epithets (or both) and gave him some attitude?
That could NEVER happen, no, of course not…

I bought the music off Itunes.
A couple of years ago I got a FAA 107 drone license and tried to get into drone real estate. Even with a Mavic III and over a decade of TV and video production experience I couldn’t get the time of day.
I haven’t turned on the Mavic III in months. Actually I’ve used my DJI Neo more such as it is, barely.
““Hi and Lois” comic strip, Lois became a real estate lady after 20 years as a homemaker.”
Oh, my. I just had a disorienting plunge into the past. I don’t think I loved the strip, but I read it every Sunday.
