Scientists are weeks away from results that could either confirm or shatter one of history’s most enduring biblical mysteries.
Noah needed incontrovertible proof. He got it.
“And the dove came in to him in the evening; and, lo, in her mouth was an olive leaf pluckt off: so Noah knew that the waters were abated from off the earth.” (Genesis 8:11)
Now, we need incontrovertible proof that his legendary Ark has been unearthed.

it’s a rock formation, it’s not even in the correct shape that the ark supposedly was
116th. One was found to be a false claim.

Unfortunately most of the evidence is in Muslim controlled territory.
No we don't. You either believe it or you don't. the chances of any part of the Ark being still around are very slim. The Durupinar formation has been probed and shown to be a natural rock formation. None of the so called sightings of the Ark on and around Ararat have been backed up by evidence. The only person who claims to have laid eyes on the Ark and passed a polygraph was Ed Davis back in the 50's, but he can only vouch that he saw a large wooden structure in the ice on a mountain somewhere in southern Turkey or northern Iran, that he believed was Noah's Ark. There were some videos from Joel Klenck linked here a while back that sure look like the Ark would look, but are supposedly faked from a mockup. A lot of archaeologists are making bank leading parties to Ararat but no objective evidence has been found. I'm afraid it's all a scam. Yes, the story is true, but nothing in the Bible suggests that physical proof will be found.

Why do you assume the flood was salt water? It rained (fresh water) 40 days and 40 nights and the fountains of the deep (aquifers—fresh water) broke open.
How could the ocean water NOT mix with the fresh water? And where did all the water go after the flood if it came UP from the ground?
Plus, this is just a rehash of a hoax cooked up by the conman Ron Wyatt.
10-15 years ago some Chinese film industry folks from Taiwan made a big splash about having gone inside the actual Ark (must have started to thaw because of global warming!), which had exciting details, such as straw still a supposed animal stall. FR had dozens of topics about it.

I save to say though, I'm kind of rooting for this thing. That's mainly because it's been mocked and besmirched for decades, and helped along on its journey by sketchy characters with their fake proofs and false promises that never deliver.
But then just watch, some real proof will smack people upside the head unexpectedly. I suppose if I had to hazard a guess, it'd be somewhat along the lines of what MM posted...
How will they get proof? Would DNA from animal poop still exist in any of the material discovered? It sounds like a silly question, but I’m actually serious.

I find peanuts in the strangest places all over the yard, thus the information inspiration suggests that if the formation's "biosignature" sniffs up peanuts from bow to stern, there's yer sign.
Some while back in my word travels (that's an important link BTW), I discovered that "squirrel" in Hebrew (סְנָאִי) is literally a bush rat, etymologically connected to Sinai and the burning bush:

And we all know that "rat" is code for an informant, so there you have it -- Bob's your uncle! (Bob is obviously the black sheep of the family.)

You’re presuming the existence of oceans before the flood. The preflood world likely was comprised of shallow lakes and low hills. The flood itself was cataclysmic. In some areas the land sank. In other areas mountains arose. The floowaters ran off into the depressions, forming the oceans which became salty as minerals were washed from the drying land.
The dove did not bring back a “tree”, but a leaf. As I said, an olive tree seed can germinate, grow big enough to produce a leaf in 47 days. Also, the flood was not just oceans/salt water, Genesis 7:11 says there were fountains of the great deep and windows of heaven opened. There would have been an enormous amount of fresh water too.
But yes, all that takes faith to believe the Bible is God’s word and is true. Science supports the existence of an intelligent designer and the historical accounts written in the Bible, and archaeologists are finding more and more evidence.
Believing we are all here “by accident” takes faith too. From my perspective it takes more faith to believe that, than to believe in God.
How will they get proof?

D) How did the animals from Australia get to the ark and how did they get back?
The trouble with a 4,000 year old ship is that is is too young - the flood was after the Younger Dryas Event 10,900 years ago when the Laurentide Ice Sheet suddenly melted, raising sea levels worldwide some 400-700 feet virtually over night.
Depends on the ground it’s on and minerals around it.
