Fox News is parting ways with Maria Bartiromo after more than 12 years with the company. The network announced the move on Thursday afternoon.

What We Know: Bartiromo has anchored multiple programs across Fox News Media, including Mornings with Maria on Fox Business Network. The morning program aired weekdays from 6-9 AM ET. She also hosted Maria Bartiromo’s Wall Street on Friday evenings from 7-7:30 PM ET. Meanwhile, her Fox News program Sunday Morning Futures will have a temporary change this weekend. Fox News will have Jason Chaffetz host Sunday Morning Futures this week. The network plans to announce a new permanent host at a later date. Bartiromo’s departure also brings an end to her roles across both Fox News and Fox Business Network. Her tenure included a lengthy run covering markets, business, and politics for the company.

What They Said: “We thank Maria for her work over the last 12 ½ years and wish her all the best on her next chapter.” -Fox News statement

What Remains Unclear: Fox News hasn’t announced when Bartiromo’s final appearances will air or whether another role remains available for her. The network also hasn’t identified who will permanently succeed her on Sunday Morning Futures. Additionally, details about Bartiromo’s next professional move remain unknown.

What It Means: Bartiromo’s exit represents a significant change for Fox News Media’s business-news lineup. Her presence helped connect Fox Business Network’s financial coverage with Fox News’ political audience. Now, the company must determine how to replace a familiar face across multiple important time slots. For Bartiromo, the departure opens the door to a new chapter after more than a decade at Fox.

Some people on X are saying “wait until you see what she does next” so perhaps you are correct.

She looks like she could be dating Jon Bon Jovi. 1985 was a great year for me and America.

I think it has more to do with doing her own thing.

Remember she left CNBC and came to Fox Business with the promise of doing multiple shows on Fox Business and Fox News.

If you look at the numbers, she could start a podcast, work far fewer hours, make the same or more money in the process.

If you look at the viewership of the top podcasters they dwarf cable news, in a matter of months she would probably have a much larger audience than she was getting on Fox Business or Fox News.

If you look at Megyn Kelly, after she got fired from NBC, she has now started a podcast and has nearly 5 million subscribers on YouTube and is probably making more money that she was making on NBC or Fox.

She’s the only one I bother to pre-record.

5 million YouTube subscribers generates maybe $100k per month. Not comparable to a network host.

Well, they are screwed (FBN). The people who usually fill in for her—I mean Cheryl—are insufferable. They are going to have to dig deep to find someone willing, qualified, and able to do a morning show.

I have to believe that she just ticked off the management too much. Although I thought she had been a little too “pro trump” in her coverage. She used to be pretty much right down the middle, which is what you need in a host of a show like that.

She is relatively young, so I imagine we will see her somewhere else.

It’s been a long three weeks without her on. Clearly, something was up.

Who knows…maybe she was a bear to work with. Maybe she was a closet DSA agent? It will take a few days for the leaks to come out.

I figured her days were numbered when she dared to call the inflation numbers “troubling”. That’s extremely disloyal to the admin.

She worked for the network, not the Administration. She had no duty to be loyal to it. Of course, the President may have seen it differently.

That’s just from YouTube, she has her own sponsors that are paying her, she probably has patreon and she probably has some type of merchandise deal.

Just look at what Joe Rogan got paid by Spotify.

Besides even if she is only making $100,000/month that is 1.2 million per year to work far less.

A quick google search tells you she’s making upwards of 10 million per year.

While the exact financial terms of her contracts are kept private, media analysts estimate Megyn Kelly makes between $5 million and $10 million annually from her podcast and satellite radio operations. Her total podcast earnings are generated across multiple revenue streams:SiriusXM Distribution Deal: The largest portion of her podcast income comes from SiriusXM. In late 2025, she signed an expanded, multi-year extension that re-branded her slot into “The Megyn Kelly Channel”. Her show airs live there first before being distributed to traditional podcast platforms.Independent Ad Revenue: Her independent production company, MK Media, controls the secondary audio distribution and program sponsorships. Because The Megyn Kelly Show consistently ranks among the top conservative podcasts in the U.S., it commands premium advertising rates.YouTube Monetization: Her video podcast versions regularly draw millions of monthly views. Revenue from programmatic YouTube ads adds several thousand dollars a month directly to her baseline media income. If you want to see how her contract compares to others, I can detail the earnings of other top independent political podcasters or explain how she initially funded her network. What would you like to explore next?

I’m under the impression that all these cable networks are getting rid of their top on-air personalities because they can’t afford them anymore.

It can't be that Pfizer is't paying enough.

you can tell by Fox’s abrupt announcement that Maria is going elsewhere. I hope she starts her own financial channel on Truth Streaming. She won’t be press secretary IMO, as some have speculated.

Vance: No. I don’t think so.
