BREAKING: US Clobbers Iran With New Round Of Strikes

U.S. forces unleashed fresh strikes on Iran late Tuesday, hammering targets in the port cities of Bandar Abbas and Sirik and on Qeshm Island.

Explosions rocked the three strategic locations before U.S. Central Command confirmed the operation.

“Today at 12 p.m. ET, U.S. forces began striking Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) targets in Iran. The strikes follow recent attempted attacks by the IRGC against commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz and against American service members deployed to the region.”

Iran has attacked eight commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz since the blockade on ships traveling to or om Iranian ports resumed July 14.

Four of the attacks occurred since last Monday, according to the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations, which monitors reports of maritime attacks across the Middle East.

The new bombardment marked a sharp escalation following roughly a month without U.S. military action inside Iran.

American forces recently destroyed Iranian rocket launchers on Larak Island after CENTCOM said they posed a threat to ships in the strait. Tehran retaliated by firing missiles at U.S. installations in Jordan, while the United Arab Emirates intercepted an Iranian drone over its territorial waters.

The renewed fighting comes months after the U.S. and Israel launched their war against Iran in February. President Trump later paused Operation Epic Fury as Washington and Tehran pursued a broader agreement aimed at ending hostilities and restoring commercial traffic through the Strait of Hormuz.

Those diplomatic efforts have since unraveled, leaving the critical waterway at the center of the conflict.

The violence has again rattled global energy markets because the narrow passage served as a route for roughly one-fifth of the world’s oil supply before the war. Iran’s crude exports have plunged under the American blockade, choking off a major source of cash for Tehran as its battered economy faces mounting pressure.

This is very unwise. The sanctions and what Bessent’s team is doing is working well. We cannot take another push of crude prices above $90. The GOP will be trounced in Novemeber.

It works well only until Iran reconstitutes their radar and firing resources. This is why we had to mow the grass.

Oh please. Why not do both? Iran is already wanting to go go back to the MOU. What they say and do are two different things. We need them to be very clear they want this to end.

Explosions rocked the three strategic locations

****************

These are more like tactical targets than "strategic" ones which typically destroy/damage facilities that have a broad impact on a nation's ability to wage war. Perhaps we need to hit more targets that are of true strategic importance to Iran.

I’m confused as reports of oil flow are back to pre war levels but price is $88 per barrel….why? Due to speculation?

Not just Southern Coastal Iran, but the entire Western Coast of Iran. Up and down with multiple strikes. It looks like they are hitting all of the positions that are most likely to fire missiles and drones at shipping. An argument can be made that it is still strickly defensive, but we will see. TousiTV just started streaming 5 minutes ago, but I have seen it reported by several sources.

Agree 100%. When treating cancer, and the IRGC is a cancer, you hit with multiple agents and modalities of treatment, not just one because you think it’s working. The stakes are too high.

This is very well-thought-out. This might be just the coup de grace we’ve been waiting for.

The Strait is wide open, but the tankers haven’t come to market yet.

The renewed fighting comes months after the U.S. and Israel launched their war against Iran in February.

Lies.

The continued fighting comes in the 47th year of hostilities launched by Iran in 1979.

Time to get real. If the mullah regime survives, stands in the rubble and shakes its fist, they win. Unless there is regime change, we lose.
