President Donald Trump announced an historic energy deal with Venezuela in a Truth Social post Friday night.
The president called the deal “THE BIGGEST OIL DEAL IN WORLD HISTORY.” Trump wrote that the United States secured “majority U.S. control” of over 65 million barrels’ worth of Venezuelan oil reserves.
Trump credited Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, Interim Venezuelan President Delcy Rodriguez and “a partnership with private business.”
The president stated that the deal more than doubles American reserves and will “substantially lower Gas Prices for all Americans.” He added that the deal would strengthen the “already growing relationship” between the two countries. Venezuela has the largest known proven oil reserves in the entire world. More than Saudi Arabia, more than Canada more than anywhere.
Maybe Marco will end up as territorial governor of Venezuela instead of Cuba.
But I'll settle for what I can get.

After a law is passed that says you can’t drain the oil reserves because your party might lose an election. I’m referring to Biden of course.
And I assume no elections in Venezuela anytime soon.
This serves as a lesson for me that sometimes, it’s far better to Think Big vs think what would be “enough”.

Actually, we SHOULD sell the oil to the highest bidder, as that will drive the price down, and then we can refill the Reserve at the lower cost when there is surplus supply.
That’s how the market for crude oil works.
Otherwise, we’ll be filling the Reserve with the oil @ market price at present.
Unless, of course, you just wanna go full on Socialist or Fascist.
