Buc-ees is a bit over zealous in protecting their trademark

The corner stores beaver looks nothing like Buc-ees logo.

The store’s name is derivative of the towns name.

There is no chance of confusion between the two businesses.

But it will take millions of dollars for the local store to fight a mega corporation like Buc-ee’s

Oh they're suing small chains that have had beaver-related logos out of existence. They apparently feel they have a monopoly on beavers. I think they should chill on burying mom and pops . Especially if they are literally in Beavercreek Ohio.

Buc-ee's claims the Beaver's Mini Mart started using the marks after Buc-ee's had established the trademarks rights, and without authorization. The complaint alleges the logo could create "confusion among consumers" about if the store is associated with Buc-ee's.

Yeah, like somebody is gonna confuse the local corner store with a literal shopping mall with 200 gas pumps and its own exit ramp lane.

Not that I don’t like Buc-ee’s, but I always make a point to stop at the Czech Stop in West when I drive on I-35 heading back home to DFW, I do not want to see Buc-ee’s put them out of business.
