Dolly Parton’s death this week has nothing to do with the name of the new tropical storm that formed in the Atlantic on Thursday, according to the National Hurricane Center.
“The timing of the use of the name Dolly for this storm is purely coincidental,” said NHC senior hurricane specialist Eric Blake.
The NHC felt the need to clarify that the name Dolly has been on the official Atlantic hurricane season name list for some time, as the alphabetical choices originate from the World Meteorological Organization.
The WMO maintains a list of six years’ worth of names for 21 of the 26 letters of the alphabet to assign to storms, omitting Q, U, X, Y and Z.

The timing, though, did not escape the meteorologically inclined this week. Commenting on two systems that were brewing at the time in the Atlantic, WESH’s Eric Burris posted after Parton’s death on Wednesday, “The next name is Dolly. Just saying.”
Dolly has been used before, first chosen as a replacement for Diana after the 1990 hurricane season, and then first used in 1996.

Maybe Dolly had some unresolved issues when she died.

Dolly Parton — the Queen of Country.
In Hebrew, Dolly Pardon er Parton = 395. The first place that 395 appears in the Torah IS a place, “the heavens”, the first on the list:

shemoneh (שְׁמוֹנֶה, eight) also = 395.

But that’s okay, I earned a Pardon because שְׁמוֹנֶה
= 401 = the word in front of the heavens (the particle “et”) in the verse:

There’s a whole lot riding on that “et”. It’s the basis for the concept that God Created the universe with the Hebrew letters (et is alef-tav).
Not only that, there’s the et that appears to have been almost forgotten completely:

Thinking back...maybe Dolly should have done the "it's not butter" commercial.
A dear friend drew her blood long ago. Her only comment was she really tiny feet.
Dolly replaced Diana in 1996, so this is the 6th season with the name on the list. In previous years there was a Cat 2, a Cat 1 and three tropical storms.
Wait til she swerves back out into the Atlantic, after barreling towards FL ... and slams into TS Jolene.
Yup, that would be due west, and then a shift to southeast. On a clock dial it would be 9 to 5. Coincidence? I think NOT!
I think they have a rotation of six lists; if a particular name is retired, it gets replaced; and if the season exceeds the standard 21 names for a year, supplementary names are added.

This is incredible BS. The NWS or whomever could have seen this coming and simply renamed the storm. There’s absolutely nothing sacred about following a bureaucratic list of storm names. JHC.
