PALM BEACH, Fla. — A woman was arrested after an incident at a checkpoint near President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Resort on Palm Beach.
According to a Town of Palm Beach Police Department report, Alexa R. Scharf, 29, was arrested and is facing charges of fleeing and eluding police, resisting arrest without violence and two counts of aggravated assault with a vehicle.
Alexa R. Scharf, a 29-year-old woman, was arrested after allegedly fleeing a security checkpoint near Mar-a-Lago, leading law enforcement on a pursuit and facing multiple charges, including aggravated assault with a vehicle. According to the police report, a U.S. Secret Service agent was at a closed security checkpoint at 6:05 p.m. A grey Hyundai with dark tinted windows driven by Scharf entered the security checkpoint at South Ocean Boulevard and parked near a security screening tint.
The agent observed Scharf exit the Hyundai, walk over to a hose and sprinkler system and turn on the hose.
The agent asked Scharf who she was and she responded, “I’m here for the car wash.”
Moments later, Scharf reentered the Hyundai, closed the driver’s side door of the vehicle. The agent took a photo of the vehicle’s license plate to send to other law enforcement officials.
The agent requested Scharf to stop the vehicle, but the report said she turned the vehicle in the direction of the agent, drove forward and drove the Hyundai out of the security checkpoint onto South Ocean Boulevard.
While Scharf was moving the vehicle, the report notes the Secret Service agent moved away from the vehicle to avoid being struck by the vehicle.
The agent told other law enforcement officials that Scharf’s vehicle stopped in the driveway of 1236 South Ocean Boulevard, just outside the large entrance gate.
The agent got into their vehicle and observed that an entrance gate was knocked down and damaged.
The agent told responding law enforcement officials, including the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office and the U.S. Secret Service, that Scharf was seen farther up the driveway and out of the vehicle walking around.
A Palm Beach Police Department captain coordinated with sheriff’s office deputies to move up the driveway and approach the Hyundai.
When they reached the vehicle, Scharf was inside the driver’s side of the vehicle with it still running.
Law enforcement officials pointed their firearms and ordered Scharf to come out of the Hyundai. The report said she refused and began to drive the Hyundai in close proximity to the law enforcement officials in an attempt to escape.
The report added that a Palm Beach Police Department captain had to jump out of the way of the Hyundai to avoid getting hit by the vehicle.
The Hyundai headed toward South Ocean Boulevard and during that time, a second Palm Beach Police Officer ordered Scharf to stop the vehicle. Moments later, that officer had to avoid getting hit by the Hyundai.
Scharf maneuvered the vehicle through a group of parked law enforcement vehicles and back onto South Ocean Boulevard. A pursuit occurred on southbound South Ocean Boulevard for several blocks.
According to the report, Scharf pulled the vehicle into the driveway of 1500 South Ocean Boulevard and stopped. Other Palm Beach Police Department officers then ordered her to exit the vehicle.
After multiple verbal request for Scharf to exit the vehicle, law enforcement officials approached the Hyundai, got visual contact with Scharf and removed her from the vehicle.

They, them, etc. makes me think of dissociative identity disorder which is a psychiatric disorder. Others should not be feeding into it.
