On a day that our nation genuinely mourns the loss of a cross-party generational pillar, Dolly Parton, I think back to my younger years and the more righteous culture. She was known for kindness and humility. I can think of only one more that was like her.
I was taken from my father at a young age, through a feminist no fault divorce filled with false allegations. As a young man growing up lonely for fatherly love and advice, I found a large portion of what I needed by watching Little House on the Prairie, and specifically Charles Ingalls, played by actor/creator, Micheal Landon. God bless that man.
I adopted this on screen potrayal of a historical figure as my imagined father. He was loving, generous, brave and hard working. He was both tender and violent to the wicked. He had moral potence. To this day, there are days I ask myself, what would Charles Ingalls do?
There was, of course, a Jezebel in Walnut Grove. We all remember Harriette Oleson, the wealthy, arrogant, gossiping nemesis of the Christ-like Charles Ingalls. The love of money is the root of all evil. She took pleasure in "grinding the faces of the poor" as Christ would say.
In Season 1, Episode 11, the town decides they need a bell on the little church. Oleson, in her pride and arrogance, offers to pay for the whole project, as long as she can put a fancy plaque with her name on it on God's church. The town splits, along what could be described as D vs R lines. The D's see no problem with Harriette Oleson's "small request" and the R's want to throw her out a window...Elijah style.
The children hatch a plan, and they steal tin cans from D's and R's and have local craftsman cast their own bell.
This solves the conflict, and the town heals. Jezebel defeated. Good wins.
Even Harriette Oleson, Jezebel, didn't have the arrogance to then tear down the church.
President Trump, I voted for you twice. I'm just a lowly Marine Corps Sgt. I don't have "6 Billion F***ng dollars in the bank" like you. I'm not ashamed of those things, but I AM ASHAMED OF YOU!
Leave the Kennedy Center alone.
Kennedy didn't build it for himself.
Lincoln didn't build his own memorial.
Washington didn't build his own monument.
You're derelict in your biblical duty to punish evildoers. You betrayed your base and gave Hillary, JEZEBEL, a pass, just like Comey did!
Repent.
Repent.
Repent.
God is angered at the perversion of justice. He will not be mocked.
Pride proceeds the fall.
In 69 days, because the Charles Ingalls types won't vote for INJUSTICE, when you lose the House and Senate we gave you on a JUSTICE PLATFORM, don't come crying to us. You'll be denied justice by them, just like we were denied justice by you.
Trump is more like Hariette Oleson than Charles Ingalls.

Oh, Please.
So much for the “humble” marine act.
What a tool.
Your pearls must be getting really, really sweaty.
Take your s—t to the DU where it belongs. If Trump left the Kennedy Center alone, it would fall apart. It has been neglected by democrat management and is in great disrepair. So the group appointed by Trump wants to put his name on the building — far as I know, he didn’t ask or require them to do it so your comparisson to Harriette Oleson is bogus and shows your TDS. As I said, go to the D’u where you belong.
Dollars to donuts he was not a combat MOS.
"Take your s—t to the DU where it belongs."
Tough on crime is a REPUBLICAN party platform plank.
You sound like Murkowski.
Desert Storm Combat Vet
Bundy Ranch Standoff Vet
Shame I guess Bidet and Soetero were a better CiCs?
Trump is Benedict Arnold. "Lock her up, lock her up"..."I told them to leave her alone".
One is clearly worse than the other.
The Harriet Oleson analogy is a PERFECT match to the Kennedy Center arrogance.
Good luck defending this.
69 days until midterms. Zero 'Elite' arrests.
Justice is not optional.
I don’t take lessons from TV shows.
” As a young man growing up lonely for fatherly love and advice, I found a large portion of what I needed by watching Little House on the Prairie, and specifically Charles Ingalls, played by actor/creator, Micheal Landon. God bless that man.”
Mel Gibson called a cop "sugartits" once. Does that mean it's a sin to take inspiration from Braveheart, The Patriot, or Passion of the Christ?
Christ called DAVID "a man after his own heart".
I find it amusing the lengths some so-called "republicans" will go to defend Trump's dereliction of duty with regards to the "tough on crime" plank of the platform.
And you sound like an idiot — especially using the one part I wasn’t referring to. You really are dumb. Get to DU where your mental ability is matched.
“ Mel Gibson called a cop “sugartits” once. Does that mean it’s a sin to take inspiration from Braveheart, The Patriot, or Passion of the Christ?”
Mel Gibson‘s role in The Patriot inspired my screen name “Freee-dame”.
So you were a Bundy Ranch combat vet? You were with that group of pubic hair bearded government gun toting dudes that were stood off by 100 cowboys with rifles and pistols defending grazing rights? Some day there will be a memorial plaque for those cowboys who stood down government overreach.
Pride proceeds the fall.
Really set a Proceedent there....
This might be an issue if Trump were suddenly corrupted by power. He wasn’t. He was an egotistical #_@&_+ who stuck his name on everything before he was president. We knew it and voted for him anyway. I halfway expected the White House to be gold plated and renamed The Trump House.
I was one of the cowboys dimwit.
The RATs staged a coup in 2020 using germ warfare from China. They fully tried to make it a permanent dictatorship from that... And you are fusing over something trivial like this? Back to DU with you!
