Tesla Inc. TSLA has landed an order for 500 Semi electric trucks from Einride AB ENRD, in what the Swedish freight company calls the largest Tesla Semi deployment announced to date. The deal comes just months after the first Semi rolled off Tesla’s new high-volume production line in Nevada, a milestone that arrived years behind schedule. Einride announced the Tesla deal alongside its first-half results Tuesday, forecasting constant-currency revenue growth of 60% to 73% in the second half, accelerating from 26% in the first half. Einride shares surged 18% in premarket trading Tuesday. Tesla Semis Will Haul Freight for Amazon, Other Customers Einride is a freight technology company that operates electric trucking networks for large shippers, including Amazon.com Inc. AMZN. The 500 Semis will roll out across California, Texas, New Jersey, Illinois and Georgia over 24 months, starting in September.

The 500 Tesla electric semi's will service the Enride account with Amazon.
The media always use the “behind schedule” term for what Elon says. One, he is selling a future concept which is game changing. He also is on the leading edge of science. They need to cut him some slack, he has to prefect the science, build a plant which has equipment never before used in that industry, source unusual material, train workers and resolve problems and smooth out production. He also is working on ODC, rockets, vehicles, robots, power generation and many other, so if the media can do a better job then Elon, step up or if not STFU!
An important item not seen in the picture: no rear view mirrors.
Better done with cameras. Interesting development.
I wonder if the trucks on the road have cameras instead of mirrors.
Approximately 150 million dollars.
The first deliveries on the 500 unit order are scheduled for September 2026
GREAT! Thanks for posting.
And deal with a hostile, difficult, ever-changing regulatory environment that is different in each country.
Those trucks are cool looking, so I might 3D print a few out for my model railroad.
Long way from the old twin-stick Macks!
I still do not believe heavy-truck EVs are practical for more than very short hauls. Elon Musk’s Teslas are good, but not that good yet.
Tesla recently confirmed final production specifications for both trims:
Standard Range:
325 miles at 82,000 lbs gross combined weight
Curb weight under 20,000 lbs
Long Range:
500 miles
23,000 lbs curb weight
1.2 MW peak charging capability
Both versions share:
1.7 kWh per mile efficiency
Three motors producing 800 kW of power
Designed for future autonomous capability
The 1.2 MW charging capability is particularly notable. If Tesla’s Megacharger network expands as planned, this could enable significantly reduced downtime compared to competing electric trucks.
The 'press' gets their story ideas from the same sources that fuel 'rent a mobs', that print the signs, that call the press to cover the stories TNEY create.
Think of it like this: What if Hitler hired PR firms in World War II to express GREAT CONCER for women working in munitions factories - (women who took jobs here while our men were fighting the war in Europe) Then the people who paid Tokyo Rose to undermine moral of our soldiers hired the same 'rent a mob' firms to 'protest' large numbers of deaths at Pearl Harbor and to organize against the American War Movement AND that we had a 'press' so stupid they NEVER questions who printed the signs protesting against the United States.
That's what we have today. China wants to win the AI war, the tech wars. Commies are doing what Hitler and Gobbles only dreams of - they're fighting and wining the war against our country using Americans with their heads in the ground. The traitors are fighting data centers, AI, and any and all innovation.
You miss the point
The Tesla objective is to make lots of money selling the semi’s to customers that can operate them at far less costs than the diesels. The fact this is possible is well known from reality
The Tesla objective is not to eliminate all diesels. The Tesla objective is to make lots of money.
I wonder if the trucks on the road have cameras instead of mirrors.
***********************
Shows them with mirrors. I suspect cameras will be built into the mirrors.
Exactly! The Hate America First Media! Gee, how are these people liking LA and Seattle with NYC next!
Well put!
What will all the retarded Sikh and illegal alien truck drivers on American roads do when they are replaced by these. I’m so worried!
I wished I had the space for any kind of model railroad.
Figure sooner or later a 3d printer model for the truck will show up in Bambu or somewhere similar.
I love the Bambu but I am not much of a designer or creator.
Like those cities(well the morons in the cities that never checked to see if the EVs were any good) that bought EV Buses and found out they are useless in the winter or just plain useless
