Eleven people were busted for alleged possession and distribution of kiddie porn aboard two different cruise ships in Boston on Friday — the third takedown of pedophiles on an ocean liner this year.
The 11 foreign laborers — nine from the Philippines, one from Indonesia, and one from Nicaragua — were employed aboard Holland America’s Volendam and Norwegian Cruise Line’s Breakaway and detained during the operation, which lasted from Aug. 14 to Aug. 16, federal officials announced Thursday.
“Protecting children from exploitation is among our highest priorities, and this operation demonstrates the critical role CBP officers play in identifying and stopping individuals who pose a threat to public safety,” Julio Caravia, acting director of field operations for Customs and Border Patrol’s Boston Field Office, said in a press statement.
The identities of those arrested have not been released and authorities did not specify how many were arrested aboard each of the ships.
Federal agents scoured the alleged sickos’ electronic devices and living quarters to retrieve the abuse material.
They are scheduled for deportation.
The Boston investigation is the latest component of Operation Tidal Wave, a multi-agency initiative led by CBP and the Department of Homeland Security that targets cruise ship crew members involved in the distribution of child sexual abuse material.
The operation follows two earlier phases this year.

Not that I needed another reason to never take another cruise but...
Many people don’t realize cruise ship crews are literally international with very few actually speaking understandable english.
Just like the illegals that now defile American soil you never know who these people are.
Of the six cruises we took prior to 2007 we always had a great experience on every one.
Glad we did it when we did. Everything I’ve been hearing about cruising the last 2 years I seriously doubt we’ll ever take another one.
Carnival Cruise Lines doubles as Waffle House on the water. I cruised Cunard ships around the same time and had great experiences. No interest in it now. Too many psychopaths in a captive environment. No thanks.
Were the buyers living in Boston?
George W Bush and
Joe Biden were not
available for comments
about their illegal aliens
HEY DEMOCRATS - this is the kind
of work ICE does all of the time - DUH!!!
Once cruise ship dock in some foreign land, it does not need to comply with US labor laws, so it hires cheap foreigners and works then like slaves, no days off for like 9 months.
In 2009 we decided to vacation in the US to give US workers some work.
We took Alaska cruise (ending in Vancouver, Canada, not in Seattle!)
I checked, and there were two US citizens among the whole crew!
The only cruise with US crew is the weeklong Norwegian cruise around Hawaii! Hard to find some foreign land to land on.
But there is a cruise from Tijuana, Mexico to Hawaii, no US personals! (Cannot go from San Diego!)
Waffle House on the water .
That’s good , ranks right up there with
Possum on the half shell.
Some parents like to stay in contact with their kids with cheap walkie-talkies. Who’s gonna give a kid an expensive cell phone to lose? Norwegian bans walkie-talkies for the last year. Makes you go hmmm.
Never take a short cruise that’s relatively cheap.
Make them walk the plank.
Right? At least throw in a face tattoo so we can recognize them easier when they come back.
Vacations when I was a kid were trips to visit relatives, some camping, some National Parks (camping), and two trips to Disneyland when we lived in Southern CA for a few years. Luxury experiences used to be for adults, only, and were then rare. Last time I went to Hawaii, years ago now, the resort (which I’d visited off and on since 1990) was overrun with children. Noisy, obnoxious, undisciplined spoiled brats all over the place. Can’t imagine being on a cruise with that scene... (Yes, I’m in a cranky mood this morning...)
Our first was on a now defunct line back in ‘92 for our honeymoon.
Next was a carnival. Not a bad experience just too much of a party boat for us so we did some research and landed on Pricess cruise line.
I can’t say enough about Princess. Great cruise every time.
Although Princess and Carnival are owned by the same parent company that’s the only thing those two have in common.
We did a 4 day Carnival Bahama cruise several years ago & people just let their kids run wild. Greyhound of the seas. This year we did a two week Virgin Alaskan cruise with no kids and no drama. Some leftist programming like drag queens but we chose not to participate.
Me too, growing up in CA, Disneyland was our luxury trip. Camping and yes visiting relatives. My oldest daughter and her husband have returned to that mindset. I think it is wonderful. I need to return to that mindset , except Disneyland is now a lot more expensive.
Be aware also that Disneyland has been politically ‘corrected’ now, too. No more drunken sailors chasing bar wenches as part of the Pirates of the Caribbean ride... The Swiss Family Robinson (the hated colonists...) also no longer have a tree house home there. Don’t know, but would now doubt that the Jungle Cruise includes the guide shooting a hippo with his pistol... The whole place has turned into a retail extravaganza more than anything else, and the monorail no longer stops at the Disneyland Hotel, something I got to experience once as an adult in the 1990’s. I had wanted to do it since 1968. Wake up, shower, dress, take an elevator down, and step right on to the monorail for a quick ride into the park. It was as they say, Awesome. No more of that now.
I have never had the desire to take a cruise on a large cruise ship. I’m a bit of a ‘control freak’ and would get very antsy knowing that I was stuck on that ship under the control of some captain I did not know anything substantive about. I like to be in charge of my days, realizing that God ultimately controls my days.
If I was to take a ‘cruise’, I would want to do one of those barefoot cruises in which there is a limited number of people (may 2 groups) on a sailing vessel that you participate in crewing.
