California Democrat mayor just quit after admitting she was a Chinese communist agent.
Eileen Wang, mayor of Arcadia, stepped down after striking a plea deal and admitting she acted as an illegal foreign agent for the Chinese government — spreading Beijing’s propaganda in the U.S. under their direction.
She faces up to 10 years in federal prison.

The Chinese are a slippery bunch... They’ve been invading Europe and North America for decades... Sending ‘students’ over here... They get their education for free and then get to live in a free country working for a variety of companies and organizations... All the while they are actually working for the Chinese government, gathering information and spreading Communist propaganda. They even have their own police forces who keep an eye on them and then send them back to China if they don’t cooperate. It’s a very elaborate setup and at this point... It’s so entrenched within our societies that we don’t stand a chance of catching them all.

Many articles which show some of the evidence. It’s not like some social media meme just making a baseless accustion. There is hard verifiable evidence to suggest this is true.
It is believed Biden got over $3 million from China when VP alone.
When you’re China, it’s not like you have to pay everyone in Congress off. You just have to pay a few key people and they can nudge things your way.
Yes, I think you basically had people in the US government commit treason. But they did this through channels and in ways that make it a grey area, deniable and indirect enough to where you can’t accuse them of such or realistically pin them down legally.
What do I mean? Imagine a Chicom firm but operating in the US (their US based subsidiary), a US citizen doing the face work, and money given to a “foundation” which is managed by the politicians relative. It’s just for charity! LOL

I think most of your truly big brains, patriots, people of impeccable character, have no interest on public office.
They can make more and don’t have to climb into a mud pit, or subject themselves and family to the scrutiny (albeit I see that as necessary for public office). Also, as you climb the political ladder, inevitably you have to compromise your values, throw friends under the bus, etc.
Most of the true A list folks have zero interest in political office.
Somewhere I saw a statistic once that showed what percent of Congress had bankrupted a business, then two businesses, it was astonishingly high.

Politics requires a huge ego, big mouth, high degree of moral flexibility and having absolutely no principals or true loyalties.
You have an interview in the form of debates, public speeches, forums/town halls. But the public does not look at education, experience, a proven success record, character indicators (unless it’s pop culture trash).
Would Obama ever have gotten elected the first time had people considered relevant education and experience?

A Southern California mayor refused to comment on her former fiancé and campaign staffer, who was sentenced to four years in federal prison for “acting as an illegal agent of the People’s Republic of China.”
Last week, Arcadia Mayor Eileen Wang’s former fiancé, Yaoning “Mike” Sun, was sentenced to four years in federal prison for acting as an illegal agent of a foreign government.
Wang has not been accused of any wrongdoing in connection with the case and refused to comment on it during Arcadia’s first City Council meeting since the sentencing.
Sun pleaded guilty in October 2025 to one count of acting as an illegal agent of a foreign government from at least 2022 to January 2024, when he “knowingly acted within the United States as an agent” of China, without notifying the attorney general, according to a news release from the Department of Justice.
Sun, 55, worked with a person referred to as “Individual 1” from 2020 through 2023 to “operate a purported news website for the local Chinese American community,” while receiving and executing directives from the PRC government to “post pro-PRC content,” the release said. He also worked as a campaign advisor for Individual 1, who was running for a city council seat in an undisclosed city. The person was elected to the city council in November 2022.
Wang commented on her relationship with Sun during a council meeting in December 2022.
“To my fiancé, Mike Sun, who walked streets with me every single day, who is a real leader of me,” Wang said.
