A stunned British man was set upon by police in broad daylight in Manchester city centre after simply walking along with a baseball bat he’d just bought – still sealed in its factory packaging.
Shocking footage that has gone viral shows the scene unfolding near a Barclays branch, with a lone officer first grabbing the man before the confrontation spirals into a chaotic scuffle involving multiple officers, motorcycle units and a police van.
The bat is clearly brand new, plastic intact. Owning one is perfectly legal. Buying one from a shop is perfectly legal. Walking home with your own newly purchased sporting goods is not a crime. The man had broken no laws.
Yet Greater Manchester Police treated him like a public menace. One officer moves in aggressively. The man resists the over-the-top intervention. What follows is a prolonged, clumsy struggle that lays bare the state of modern British policing.
The initial officer struggles visibly to control a single average bloke who isn’t even swinging the bat or attacking anyone. He can’t take him down cleanly. He can’t get the cuffs on. Backup is called. More officers pile in. The man is eventually forced to the ground amid a growing crowd of onlookers. Pepper spray is reportedly used. A van arrives to cart him away.

That was an absolutely crazy and pathetic scene. The young man wasn’t doing anything buy carrying bought merchandise.
The first ‘policemen’ was about half his size and could not make the bat holder stop and wait for cuffs, so the policeman sort of ‘danced backwards’ while holding the culprit/victim in a tight bear hug. Crowds were staring in confusion and disbelief. If this continues, the police will lose even more respect from the public.
Baseball bats are a huge seller in the UK.
Nobody plays baseball.
Go figure.
The diminutive fascist Asian bobby struggles to arrest this protesting white man until he pepper sprayed him. The crowd gathers and can be heard repeatedly telling the bobby “It’s in the package you idiot!”
ChatGPt:
“Home defense: This is probably the biggest cultural explanation. Baseball bats are widely marketed and bought as an improvised household self-defense object, even though actually using one as a weapon can create serious legal problems in the UK.”
The government wants you buying on line, so they can track you better.
How about a double-bit axe?
.
Meanwhile, 23 year old muslim man buys a Henckle.
No problemo.
If it was a muzzie buying a butcher knife, no problem.
People havevto start fighting back. Even an officer just walking by should result in mass ridicule and name calling. Arrest one person, youre going to have to arrest 50,000, every single time. If they go to somebody’s house, people pile into the street to make it impossible to cart somebody away.
If it were up to me, the entire country would converge and prevent the police from enforcing the law.
WALKING WHILE WHITE!
Back when cops carried billyclubs, my pal kept one in his car, and got arrested for it. The arresting officer told him to carry a bat, instead. Not a weapon if you don’t use it.
Like the Keystone Kops. The bobbies mess up nonstop.
They arrested a mother in the last day or two, because shevwanted to accompany her son because he was accused by a Nigerian family of taking some garden shed keys. The officers took the boy without shoes and broke his wrist.
Id be livid.
I always forget to take my hunting knife and bear spray out of the truck after the last outing. My pocket knife is always there on my pocket. And my elbows. Let me tell you about the damage my elbows can do to your jaw.
A “friend” wants me to visit her in the UK. I told her I won’t spend one cent to go there.
Cents or pence?
My friends are all leaving the uk.
The old Atomic Elbow !
