Licensed Maryland clinicians can receive abortion training and a $4,000 stipend through the University of Maryland, Baltimore’s (UMB) “Reproductive Health Fellowship.”
The fellowship offers a “comprehensive curriculum on abortion and reproductive health care,” a $4,000 stipend, an abortion simulation, and post-completion support “to actively deepen your knowledge in reproductive health and abortion care.”
“Join Maryland’s next generation of reproductive health leaders in providing high-quality, trauma-informed abortion care,” the description reads. “Build your confidence and expertise in prescribing medication abortion while gaining valuable exposure to procedural abortion care.”
“Upon completing the program, clinicians become part of a strong, supportive community committed to advancing and sustaining abortion access across the state,” it continues.
The fellowship is part of UMB’s “Maryland Abortion and Reproductive Clinical Health” (MARCH) program, which also offers a “Whole Clinic Training Program” and residency training.
MARCH is directly funded by the Maryland Department of Health. The program is part of a broader effort by Maryland officials to expand abortion training, including legislation that allocated millions of dollars to the University of Maryland.
The 2022 “Abortion Care Access Act” states that its purpose is to “protect access to abortion care by ensuring that there are a sufficient number of health professionals to provide abortion care.”
The University of Maryland School of Medicine and UMB received a $10.6 million state grant in February 2024 to support the “Abortion Clinical Care Training Program.”

“Access to reproductive health care is a fundamental right,” Maryland Governor Wes Moore said at the time. “Today, we take another big step forward to protect the health, well-being, and rights of Marylanders—and we will keep working together to ensure that Maryland remains a safe haven for reproductive care.”
In 2024, 17 practicing clinicians completed the MARCH training, Maryland Department of Health records state. The department reported that a further 38 clinician applicants were eligible for 2025.
UMB says it has adapted the TEACH curriculum for the fellowship, short for Training in Early Abortion for Comprehensive Healthcare.
TEACH describes itself as a “national leader in abortion training and curriculum innovation, with a mission to cultivate the next generation of diverse reproductive health champions.”
The UMB has been contacted for comment. This article will be updated accordingly.

Hmmmm. An abortion training program in a city populated by a majority of Afro-Americans and other minorities. Would be a public service to dox extensively the graduates of this program.
City-state power. Mandate this so they can indoctrinate children.
