Sometimes revolutions spread like fire. The American Revolution spread to Europe and brought down kings. This revolution against Islam could spread as well . That could be the beginning of the end for the World's longest existing organized evil.

With thousands murdered and more imprisoned and tortured I can understand the reluctance .

True but Israel is right next door and the US is certainly willing to assist...that's why I can't understand the delay
Someone mentioned the US war against the Brits. We did that with next to NO resources, experience, no kind of a military or navy to speak of...and no allies (until nearly the end).
Any 'colonial' caught opposing the crown was sure to be hanged or at the least would lose everything he owned or ever would! His fortune, family and future were all at risk.

One of the problems is that they are not fighting at all.
We aren’t either in our own country.

Americans had an advantage the Persians didn’t. We had guns. On April 19th 1775 when the British tried to take those guns away , that is when our revolution started. July 4;, 1776 is merely when politicians caught up with a war already in play.

Another American patriot advantage that is most of the military might of our enemy, the Brits, was overseas. The Americans were the ones fighting on their own turf. But in Iran, both sides, including the IRGC, is fighting on its on turf. So the good guy Iranians are having to fight their neighbors.
It’s more like the US Civil War than the American Revolution. And we know how that turned out.

Iran is right next door to the immense Israeli arsenal ... Getting bombs INTO Iran (being as efficiently accomplished as we have seen 😁) ... I'm sure Israel could transport weapons there for the civilians, as well
Just a thought

I hope the writer is correct about “underground Christian conversions” there; she may have “inside” information as so many Persians in the US still have family in Iran. It used to be a highly sophisticated, educated country...met and worked with several who came here in 1979. They had learned English at an early age in their country and all were college educated.
To: Nateman
We may all be confusing “fighting” for “resisting”.
Islam is fighting. Christianity is resisting.
