Most people view Alberta’s Child as a troll, not a deviant from “party orthodoxy” as he/she/it might put it.
I tend to agree.
There are a core group of people, at least ten of them, whose posts largely reflect an anti-Trump bias which they endeavor to hide under a veneer of “I’m the real conservative here because I oppose the “Endless War” in Iran”.
They are the same people who spam the forum with articles from CNN, Mediaite, New York Times, and The Guardian, all with the specific purpose of promoting dissension within the Trump Administration and demoralizing Conservatives.
The comment by Alberta’s Child characterizing operations in the Persian Gulf as “ this stupid war with Iran”, implying Trump is “stupid” for doing it is a typical one on any given day.
Of course Trump isn’t stupid.
Of course he knows that downside of taking action like he did before an election exists. Of course he understands those things.
He came in off the street, not a politician, not privy to the machinations of politicians and weaponized government, yet he was stupid enough to learn those things on the job in the most difficult job in the world, and won the Presidency three times. They managed to steal one of them, but he learned his lessons in those four years in the political wilderness.
And we have people on this forum who are exemplified by Alberta’s Child who, having never been to a meeting on these issues, never had access to the intelligence, and never been privy to any internal discussions, are all too eager and willing to accept the word of “anonymous sources” in articles from the New York Times that have four authors on them.
We have them on this forum.
They say he didn’t think of the impact on elections. They say he didn’t have any plan for his action. They say he didn’t have a plan for the closing of the Strait of Hormuz.
I tend to have a very dim view of these people, and on any given day, we have a handful of these same people who spam the forums with “articles” from the likes of CNN, Mediaite, The Guardian, The New York Times, and on, and on and on.
People like that might well be characterized as “geriatric anti-Trump trolls wearing MAGA hats that they have set aflame” to paraphrase the lexicon of one of them.

That's an odd way to be a "troll," I'd say. In fact, I stayed here the purges and self-exile of the mid-2000s where it was considered heresy here to oppose "the stupid war with Iraq." You do realize that this particular line of argument can be applied to any decision made by any President when it comes to foreign policy, right?
By this logic, not a single civilian had any right to question the foreign policy decisions of not just Trump, but Biden, Obama, Bush, Clinton, etcetera.
Given that the ability to declare war is constitutionally vested in Congress—the branch directly representative of the people—the concept that we should never question or criticize decisions made by the executive is utter bunk.

Trump was elected to accomplish specific things, and to not do other things. He campaigned on no more "stupid wars" in the Middle East.
Nobody voted for Trump to start a stupid war with Iran. (And I guarantee that if Biden or Obama had done the exact same things that Trump has done thus far, he would have been railing on Truth Social about how poorly it's been handled.)
Nobody wants Trump to continue the war with Iran, because it is a distraction from more important things domestically.
One of the hallmarks of a Conservative point of view is that they accept the world and human nature for what it is; as such, reality checks are a constant necessity.
So if a reality check like the above is "demoralizing" to you, then that's your problem.
The funny thing is -- I haven't said or done any of these things. I don't even read the media sources you've cited here, so I wouldn't even know what to use if I wanted to "spam the forums" with their material anyway.

LOL. If you were around some of the threads on the Iran debacle here in March and April, you'd know the source of this quote. It came from an epic series of posts by longtime Freeper AAABEST, who (like me) saw the U.S. military campaign against Iran as a complete and total betrayal of everything Donald Trump supposedly stood for when he first arrived on the national political scene in 2015.
Go check his profile page. Just peruse through his posts for all the evidence you need that this vocal contingent opposed to the stupid war with Iran is NOT a bunch of anti-Trump trolls.

I am old enough to comprehend just how long the terrorists have been yanking us around on this issue, Nothing is new.
However all the previous US "leaders" and media have been happy to kick the can down the road and live with the consequences. It's become the political football they built lucrative careers on and NOW that we have a President who wants a full and final resolution ... they attack him!!! 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡
