Yesterday, the President signed new Executive Orders expanding the definition of who is excluded from Birthright Citizenship. While there is an absolute likelihood that all those really smart attorneys and other people in the Executive branch came up with the updated policies independent of anything I floated here, in the blogosphere, and through indirect channels, I will take it as a win. Even if independently arrived at by others, the ideas floated here definitely appear to have been ground into the sausage making process of the new policies.
Never underestimate the impact of Free Republic on national debates! -- Back in 2008, when I was a completely unknown congressional candidate running against one of the most corrupt and powerful congressmen in US history and did not even know what FreeRepublic was, it was a Freeper (Hope you are still out there and in good health, Rusty!) who elevated my campaign on this forum and got the attention of Michelle Malkin and other members of the national press, enabling my campaign to give John Murtha a run for his money. With that history in mind, here are the links to the original article on July 19, 2026, and the new Birthright Citizenship Executive Orders:

The funny thing is -- I haven't said or done any of these things. I don't even read the media sources you've cited here, so I wouldn't even know what to use if I wanted to "spam the forums" with their material anyway.
People like that might well be characterized as "geriatric anti-Trump trolls wearing MAGA hats that they have set aflame" to paraphrase the lexicon of one of them.
LOL. If you were around some of the threads on the Iran debacle here in March and April, you'd know the source of this quote. It came from an epic series of posts by longtime Freeper AAABEST, who (like me) saw the U.S. military campaign against Iran as a complete and total betrayal of everything Donald Trump supposedly stood for when he first arrived on the national political scene in 2015.
Go check his profile page. Just peruse through his posts for all the evidence you need that this vocal contingent opposed to the stupid war with Iran is NOT a bunch of anti-Trump trolls.
LOL ... that’s a great line. Might have to borrow it, sometime.
I am 100% in agreement.
I stopped watching, reading, or listening to any MSM content back around 1998. It is poison that is formulated to achieve the goals of Leftism in this country, and those who disagree with that characterization would be well served to note that 90-96% of those who work in and report for Media in this country are solidly Leftist (I can reference a lot of sources that put the number at 96.7%, but will use their beloved Mediaite as the primary source, since they seem quite proud of that statistic: MEDIAITE LINK: Study Finds That Just 3.4% of American Journalists Are Republicans
Of course, we don't need places like the Leftist Mediaite to inform us on that. Those with a brain who pay attention understand it wholly.
So, many of us choose not to consume their content directly, but are not averse to discussing their product in context, which is important because they so often endeavor to deny appropriate context to their product.
And Free Republic is a great place to do that. Here, we get to crowd-source their product and disassemble it to provide the information and context they purposefully deny to us in their reporting.
This site allows us, by doing that, to get closer to the real truth than the Media will accept. We have knowledgable people here in all walks of life from military, to energy, to legal, to economic, who can (and do) jump in to provide truth and context to current events.
Being forced to work around the trolls who are committed to sowing division and confusion is a chore, but most Freepers have determined pathways to do just that, so it is a cross that must be borne.
THAT ... is legend.
Thanks for posting (again :)
Much of the hatred towards Vance has been stirred up by the likes of Mark Levin, who foam at the mouth at any deviation in US policy from what Netanyahu demands (i.e. Vance dared to question whether Netanyahu's aims in the region really align with ours), and to a lesser extent the smarmy, self-righteous Ukraine obsessives, who just can't forgive Vance for saying that he (quite reasonably) doesn't really give a damn about Ukraine.
Same here.
You are 100% correct there.
“I’ve been here for more than 25 years.”
Wow! Trolling for 25 years. That is a lot of work that will suck the soul out of you. You should take a rest for a while. You deserve it.
Just sayin’ ...
That is true.
But consitently swallowing whole the narratives of the likes of the New York Times and, at the same time uniformly and predictably condemning the narratives of an administration on the same subject is not the same as disagreeing with an administration.
Simply disagreeing with an administration is not what I am describing.
I've posted a total of 1,617 threads and 194,522 replies.
😜
A string of replies indicates I have struck a nerve. Good.
Good riddance to that deranged clown.
Oh, damn. I am not worthy. LOL.
Alberta's Child -- aka ("always has to get the last word in!")
I honestly don’t understand this Vance-Rubio antagonism except in the prism of a past campaign mindset.
Conservatives should consider themselves fortunate to have men like them on our side and in consideration of a Presidential campaign.
I personally admire both of them, and Rubio was the most surprising for me, as I did not care for him in the past.
But he has fully subjugated himself to the team agenda, and has done it so thoroughly as to win my full respect, and the respect of many other conservatives.
Well, will give you that then. Take it.
Now I haven’t even looked at it in years.
"...They say he didn't think of the impact on elections. They say he didn't have any plan for his action. They say he didn't have a plan for the closing of the Strait of Hormuz..."
I am old enough to comprehend just how long the terrorists have been yanking us around on this issue, Nothing is new.
However all the previous US "leaders" and media have been happy to kick the can down the road and live with the consequences. It's become the political football they built lucrative careers on and NOW that we have a President who wants a full and final resolution ... they attack him!!! 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡
Yes I know!
Enemy of my enemy is my friend! They practice that well.
