Outkick founder Clay Travis on Monday challenged the defending Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) champions, the Las Vegas Aces, to play a boys’ high school basketball team, offering to pay the winners $10 million.
This offer significantly increases the $1 million wager Travis initially proposed in 2023, which was rejected by the Aces.
“Important announcement: I am upping my offer, $10 million dollars for a head-to-head basketball game between the defending WNBA champion Las Vegas Aces and a boy’s high school state title team of my choice,” Travis posted on X Monday. “If the Aces beat my team, I will give them $10 million.”
Travis stated in a subsequent post that he will pay the boys’ team the same amount to distribute among the players, with any pay-per-view profits donated to the Tunnel 2 Towers charity, which provides mortgage free homes to families of deceased soldiers, police, and first responders.
“This will be the most money ever paid to win a single basketball game,” he wrote. “A modern day battle of the sexes. $10 million to the winning team.”
Travis later stipulated he would offer the same amount to the WNBA all-star team in a match-up against high school boys.
When asked who would be the odds-on favorite for such a match-up, X’s AI GROK, replied: “A top boys high school state title team would be heavy favorites over the Aces.”

In response to the latest woke WNBA coach to support “transgenders” in women’s sports, Travis doubled down on starting an all trans WNBA team.
“I am not kidding about this. I am prepared to buy a @wnba expansion franchise and locate them in Nashville,” Travis insisted on X. “I pledge to have a 100 percent trans team, all men who identify as women. I will also employ a 100 percent trans coaching staff. Most inclusive team in history!”

I once upon a time regularly watched Maria Sharapova practice at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida in 2004 during the afternoon heat. She always practiced against men who were former professional or NCAA champion level players. She was a monster worker and easy on the eyes…

I assume the speed of the boys game will produce undefended layups. When the game stops and allows the girls to get back, alley-oops will be very hard to defend. And of course guys will get the lions share of the rebounds. A state winning team will have at least one big man and I assume some lightning fast guards that will be just too fast to contain. Even the Wyoming state champions should win handily if their chivalry doesn’t stand in the way.
