Aaron Rodgers unleashed at 'coward' and 'criminal' Anthony Fauci in a no-holds-barred appearance on Pat McAfee's ESPN show on Monday.
Rodgers, who has long been a vaccine skeptic and was extremely outspoken about the Covid-19 pandemic, didn't hold back as he eviscerated Fauci in the wake of his decision to continuously plead the fifth amendment in a hostile senate hearing.
As he arrived on set, Rodgers appeared to ask how long the broadcast had left on ESPN, with McAfee responding that they had 'a hard out' after just eight minutes.
That, seemingly, was all the fuel Rodgers needed as he answered a football-related question by claiming 'I'm going to plead the fifth... like that absolute coward Tony Fauci.'
From there, he went on a 13-minute monologue, barely interrupted by McAfee or any of his four co-hosts, who were broadcasting live from the Steelers training camp.
'Absolute coward,' he continued of Fauci. 'Are you kidding me? You got a pardon and you pleaded over 100 times? What are you scared of, Tony? I thought you were the science?
'You get up there and you can't answer a question? And how much time did the network spend on that? How much time did they spend on my responses every week? On my vaccination status? On Taylor and Travis' wedding? Did they do even a minute on Tony Fauci? No, I bet they didn't.

I’m with Rogers on this one.
His sock to me just went up. I hope he doesn’t back-peddle under pressure.
I forgot about Rodgers. They almost kicked him out of the nfl because he refused the clot shot.
During that time I read somewhere the restrictions that were put on players that didn’t get one....it was absolutely ridiculous overt harassment and punishment for not getting a shot.
He’s not wrong.
He didn’t back-peddle when they tried to force him to get a covid shot....I doubt he will here.
He will be playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers this coming season.

This is an excerpt from the nfl covid era rules for non vaxxed players. It’s long but I think worth reading as it’s unbelievably draconian.

“For those fully vaccinated, there will be no daily testing, whereas those who are not fully vaccinated must be tested every day. It will be the same for face coverings, with none required if fully vaccinated and mandated at club facility and team travel if not. Individuals who are not fully vaccinated, including players, will be prohibited from gathering outside club facilities or team travel. NFL players who are not fully vaccinated will be barred from going to nightclubs, bars, house parties, concerts, etc. Failure to follow the protocols could result in fines of `$50,000 for a first offense.
One difference that Pelissero notes could have major competitive implications is that fully vaccinated individuals who have been exposed to a coronavirus-positive person will not be labeled a high-risk close contact, so they will not be subject to a mandatory five-day isolation.
Coaches and staff members who are not fully vaccinated — and do not have religious or medical exemptions — will not be eligible for Tier 1 or 2 status in training camp and will therefore not be allowed to work in-person with players. Strength and conditioning coaches, for instance, must be fully vaccinated to be in a weight room with players. If it’s an indoor weight room, players who are not fully vaccinated must work out with their masks on. For coaches who are fully vaccinated, face coverings will no longer be required...”
