Disgraced ex-Rep. Eric Swalwell’s zombie campaign is continuing to still cover legal fees with donors’ money as he prepares for potential court battles over sexual misconduct allegations that ruined his political career.
The former California gubernatorial candidate reported paying around $150,000 in campaign funds to the law firm Coblentz Patch Duffy & Bass LLP between May 17 and June 30, according to financial disclosures filed Friday.
He had already shelled out $50,000 to the firm before May 16, the Post previously reported.
The law firm declined comment to media outlets, but Swalwell has used the firm for legal guidance since 2016, paying over $300,000 over the years to respond to “politically motivated actors.”
Swalwell’s questionable practice of paying attorneys with campaign funds — even after he resigned from Congress and suspended his gubernatorial campaign — comes as California ethics investigators continue probing more than $300,000 in payments made to celebrity defense attorney Sara Azari, who has defended Swalwell to the media on the allegations against him.
A spokesperson for the the California Fair Political Practices Commission recently told The California Post that there have been no updates on any investigations.
Swalwell’s stunning political collapse began in April after the San Francisco Chronicle and CNN published allegations from multiple women accusing the former East Bay congressman of rape, sexual assault and other misconduct. Swalwell has denied the allegations while acknowledging what he described as “mistakes in judgment.”

Why are shitbag politicians like Swalwell allowed to use campaign funds as their own private slush funds?
Swalwell, Joe Biden, Jill Biden, Hunter Biden, Harris, Mamdani, Walz, the nipple-Nazi, AOC - the democrats have a deep bench going into 2028.
Shawn Farash was talking about this on his podcast yesterday, he suggested that it was the dem party itself that blindsided Swalwell in the CA primary, the rats were afraid he would draw enough votes to split the dem candidates so that the two republicans would finish #1 and #2. We know this but it did open a can of worms for The Farter.
BTW, Shawn is joining the Bongino podcast group...he’s the guy who does the Trump imitations better than anybody, youtube is loaded with them.
Maybe Hunter Biden can help.
For thousands of years people lived under blue skies. Then one day a New York Times article came out with the headline:

And people were stunned at the revelation.
Why are people like that even on the ballot anywhere in this country?
That guy should be toxic waste.
I’d rather have a meet and greet with a tire technician at the local Discount Tire (great business BTW) than meet that guy. And that’s not meant funny, he could teach me a thing or two. I’d walk away smarter.
But Swalwell... I guess if I want advice on how to seduce a Chinese spy that is willing to do just about anything to get information, he’d be the go to guy.
