Is this over Fauci lying to Congress before he was pardoned?
It’s over Fauci “pleading the fifth” to avoid answering questions.
Fauci has immunity. He MUST testify.
I would say stop announcing your plans and just do it. Tell us about it afterwards, when they’re dragging him out in shackles.

Rand is a joke.
It may or may not go anywhere. My cynical self tends to agree with you. But consider one additional thing before criticizing what one might consider his motives.
If there’s one thing that really troubles physicians, it’s knowing another physician doesn’t care about the welfare of others, particularly when it comes to their health. When I see Rand Paul pursue something with as much passion as he’s shown in this case, something is motivating apart from the usual politics.
Listening to Fauci today, I felt the same disgust that one doc feels for another when they don’t care about anything but themselves. I’ve never been much of a Paul fan but I like the outraged he’s exhibiting with respect to this scumball and I’m willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.
This is very simple and needs to be made clear to all those who don’t understand what’s going on.
Fauci has been given a pardon for anything and everything he did from 2014 to the end of the Biden administration.
He can appear before Congress and he can agree to everything that Congress says about him, and even if Congress says he murdered someone during that time period, there is nothing that could be done to him. No criminal charges can be pursued for anything he did or didn’t do.
So appearing in front of Congress at the hearings, while testifying under oath, Fauci can agree that he did all those things he is being accused of and walk away free. But this would definitely damage his ego and status that are so important to him throughout the world.
Or the other option is he answers the questions and denies and lies to all of that which is brought to the forefront. If he does that he is lying to Congress and can be prosecuted for perjury. And that too would ruin his ego and reputation... And that would put him behind bars.
So he appears at the hearings and he pleads the fifth to everything, because any answer is a no-win for him. He is as guilty as sin, but this is the only way he has to Stonewall and hope his democrat friends and the liberal media will help make this go away.
Now my question is, is there anyone in this administration who has influence on the World Court. I am not a legal minded genius, but I would assume the World Court would not honor any pardons given Fauci, perhaps with the right persuasion and influence, the World Court can be convinced to proceed with crimes against humanity against Fauci.
In any case, I won’t hold my breath until Justice is done.
I have disliked Rand Paul for a long time now as a bag of hot air.
But, on the other hand, I don’t mind if he is hectoring and harassing the likes of the scumbag Fauci, and does it non-stop, that is more than the majority of Senators are doing.
I will give him some degree of credit for that, as nobody else seems interested in doing it.
I just do not understand how he can claim the 5th and be punished for it.

Biden and Obama commuted a lot of Federal death sentences for obscene criminals. Dr. Fauci is protected by the Deep State.
Dr. Fauci has a preemptive presidential pardon from Biden for any crime ever committed, and maybe any crime he will ever commit. I can't wait until the courts rule on preemptive pardons. Maybe twenty years from now. He's swimming in millions of dollars and taking the 5th. As a 'Civil Servant'.
I hope when that POS Fauci stood up, there was a suction sound, a loud pop and a huge pucker left on the seat as the air pressure changed from his sphincter being so tight.
This is easier than that. For instance, the state of Oklahoma had damage and citizens died because of Fauci’s actions and lies to the public and lies to the president. The state of Oklahoma in like Latimer county that voted 80% for Trump needs to bring state charges. The Biden immunity has no bearing on state charges.
Fauci should not have given a statement.
