Police arrested a trio of teen boys as part of a vicious attack on a California family at a luxury Maui resort that the victims say was motivated by race.
The violent brawl broke out around 10 p.m. on July 17 at the Kaanapali Alii resort in West Maui, where local officers responded to a disturbance involving roughly 30 people near the property’s pool that left at least one victim with a bloody head wound.
Seven visitors from California, ranging in age from 17 to 62, told police they were assaulted after a group of young people allegedly threw chairs and attacked members of their family, labeling them “haole boys.” The family believes they were singled out because they are white and urged investigators to pursue the case as a hate crime.

Been there twice. Garbage place.
I wonder if small pox blankets can make a come back.
Been to the big Island and it was great. A friend of dad was stationed at Pearl Harbor and met his wife there. He owns a Coffee plantation and his wife’s family cut her off...she was full Hawaiian, he was Irish.
Irish Coffee is Hawaiian!
You mean leprosy?
But Asians commit far less crime than whites.
“But Asians commit far less crime than whites.”
That’s true, at least as far as crimes of violence are concerned.
Poor teens will get slap on the wrists for being subjected to the sight on non-Hawaiians.

Don’t pee in the pool from the diving board started it?.
Lots of bias in this article, ranging from the use of quotation marks around “anti-white” and the lower-case “w” to the use of the word “brawl” to describe an outright attack. Dishonorable mention for the use of the word “youths” when it’s probably not possible to say the ages of the attackers.
Local coverage, and I had to dig to find it. Love the spin...
