He can not be prosecuted for his past crimes. Lying before congress is a new crime and he can suffer prosecution. He can not plead the fifth when asked about past crimes as he is covered by the pardon.
The real question is why Fauci begged Biden, I would suspect the Biden Staff and auto pen. Dr. Anthony Fauci was preemptively pardoned on January 20, 2025, by President Joe Biden during his final hours in office.

A quick read of the EcoHealth DARPA DEFUSE proposal for the DARPA PREMPT program explicitly states two critical points of information
The first is that the development of what became known as the Covid-19 virus had been ongoing long before and predates the drafting of the DEFUSE proposal both at UNC in the US and in Wuhan China and the research had already led to SARS-COV -2 class virus with human gain of function pathogenicity enhancements
Just who was funding this prior research, who was conducting the research and where the research was being conducted is currently not disclosed, but I suspect that at least some was conducted at UNC by Ralph Baric.
Baric had openly bragged in open technical conference presentation that they had used gain of function techniques to bio engineer chimeric viruses with 60% lethality in humanized mice models
Regardless, the nature of this foundational research and the sources of the funding of this previous foundational research should be investigated and closely scrutinized.
The second is that the UNC/Wuhan team had extensive prior spike protein structure/ pathogenicity property modeling and implementation data base that would have been priceless information for fighting the pandemic
Structure-property knowledge allows medical people to understand the specific mechanisms by which the virus works to attack the human body
The Fauci cover up blocked access to this vital data base of how the virus was engineered and resulted in countless unnecessary deaths
This constitutes a conspiracy to commit crimes against humanity IMHO
I agree. Early Fauci emails suggest he knew something was up with the virus and was wondering if his agency was complicit with the release.

My take is scarf lady was in over her head. She was a retired army Colonel and was working for the state department as a global Aids coordinator when she was picked out of obscurity to lead the Covid team...
And for someone who bragged about being data driven, she never provided any useful data.

Scott Atlas who was on the WH Covid team for several months in the fall of 2020 has confirmed this as well. Neither Fauci or Birx had any data.
