@RandPaul
If Anthony Fauci lies before Congress on Wednesday, as he did in previous hearings, his preemptive pardon won’t cover him.

RFK Jr says HHS gave the diaries to Sen. Paul and Sen. Johnson this week for their ongoing investigations.
Kennedy says it took eight months to dig out the diaries from 11 separate servers where they had been hidden.
When was the last time anyone faced any real consequences for lying to Congress?
Along with:
* I don’t know
* I don’t remember
Exactly! I agree.
Fraudchi is headed to the gallows.
IF???
So, the “fizzif” for Tony.
Where and how??
He’ll be admonished. Ooh the horror. I, could be just me, don’t think anyone will ever be punished for this travesty. So, dr. Fauxchi-———🖕
I don’t think he can plead the 5th. There was a lot of discussion about it when President Otto Penn did all the pardons.
I don't think he can for the time period of the pardon. I think he will use "I don't recall". He can definitely take the fifth after the pardon for questions such as:
Dr. Fauci have you contacted former employees to destroy documents or lie to .gov investigators?
I am predicting a strongly worded letter from Rand Paul....and then nothing.
HHS? That seems weird.
Like Gowdy.
“IF”?!?!?
He already did.
Needs to be ALL REPUBLICAN SENATORS..not just Rand..
Does any body know if it’s being carried on TV? C-SPAN maybe?
Unfortunately, I have to agree.
That is not how it works, the 5th is not about refusing to testify to avoid committing a crime, it is about not testifying to crimes you may be under investigation for.
This is the same as forcing a person to testify under oath once given immunity, one cannot refuse to answer by pleading the 5th.
This very issue was decided a long time ago under Brown v. Walker https://supreme.justia.com/cases/federal/us/161/591/
